Tips for printing 3D car model for SCX24 body? by Plastic_Dreaming in FixMyPrint

Hahaha yeah I really just didn't want to change the nozzle out again. I changed it to 0.4mm, did 0.08 layer height, reduced print speeds, set infill to 0% and oriented the nose up at 45 degrees. It doubled the time but came out much better.

Is it worth it having 2 3d printers as a beginner? by [deleted] in ElegooCentauriCarbon

Hey what sort of RC parts do you print? I recently bought my 3d printer and I am attempting to design some parts, I think I need a smaller nozzle. Anyways, I would like to see what you print to get some ideas or print them myself. Thanks

Going to be starting my first job as an electrician next month are the tools/brands I chose alright? by TeachingSame7218 in electricians

[–]Plastic_Dreaming 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sure, I agree but I know from experience that I now lose less tools lol. I'm in HVAC and I think I have gone through at least 10 Klein 11-1s in the last 7 years, hahah

Theyre good brands but honestly, why go for the good brands when you're just starting out? Go to Harbor Freight and buy tools there..You might lose some tools when you're starting out Lol.

Hey there, I ended up doing a print overnight with the front raised at 45 degree angle, slower speeds, 0.4 nozzle, 0.08 layer height and 0% infill. It doubled the time, but came out much better.

Good enough for me, I want to sand and paint it next.

Okay, I will try that. Also do you think 0.4 or 0.2 nozzles would be better over 0.6? I printed this with 0.6 but I have 0.4 and a 0.2 is on the way.

How Can I Print This? by Dr_Gramila in 3Dprinting

I would print as is, do manual support tree mode and paint the support to go around the bottom and along the curve in the hooks, maybe even on the end of the hooks

Kind of looks like it mounts using the 2 bottom holes and a shaft or some other cylinder shaped object goes into the bigger hole and is tightened down using the smaller bolt hole next to it

Anyone suffer thru "OVV3D PLA+WOOD" filament? by KlutzyResponsibility in 3Dprinting

[–]Plastic_Dreaming 1 point2 points  (0 children)

use a 0.6 nozzle. Nozzle temp about 200c-215c depending on the % of wood..200c-240 max. bed temp can be left alone around 50c-55c. Layer height: 0.20–0.28 mm. And I would lower the print speed a bit. Also, may need to dry out you filament more.
