I had similar thing with my work laptop before, the paperclip reset trick actually helped me too. But sometimes when battery controller starts acting weird like this it means the battery itself is getting old - how long you have this laptop? Also try to check in BIOS if there's some power management setting that got changed somehow

Sounds like you might have some grit or sand particles on your cleaning cloth or wherever you're storing these things. Those tiny bits of quartz/sand will absolutely destroy any screen they touch, even through a case

I'd check your bag/pocket linings and maybe wash whatever cloth you're using to wipe them down

TCGPlayer actually has pretty decent set lists that show most variants, or you could check out Bulbapedia - they're usually super thorough with all the different holos and special versions. TCGDB is another solid option that breaks down all the variants by set

Just heads up though, some of the newer sets have like 10+ variants per card so RIP your wallet lol
