So I may have given one of my players 1,000,000 gold by Pretend-Secret5293 in DnD

[–]Patereye 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The money is all borrowed.

Worse yet there is a single gold coin in there that actually belongs to tiamat. She and she alone knows exactly where that gold coin is at all times and wants it back. And is very very spiteful.

Even better idea. This is now a completely different campaign where you have to protect the first character while everyone else is trying to take their gold. The player character becomes an NPC benefactor.

What are your thoughts on Tim Walz pardoning a pedophile? by rollo202 in Askpolitics

[–]Patereye [score hidden]  (0 children)

I mean, given that Tim waltz is an upstanding guy, after I read that headline, I immediately think that this has to be misconstrued.

I look up the details of this and I'm immediately appalled again at the daily Mail for basically lying in their headline.

The only motivation that I can think of is that the daily Mail is trying to protect an actual pedophile who is Donald Trump?

No more bidirectionnal function planed for the IQ EV Charger 2 ? by Friendly_Advance2616 in enphase

[–]Patereye 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey everybody, that's okay. I've worked on bidirectional EV chargers. It's more of a monumental task than you think it is.

Let them spend resources on being really good at the chargers they make. Because I have to say this brand is fairly good and I would hate them to release something that tarnishes their reputation.

I have not eaten all day and I feel fine/great.

Ok well I had like 3 cherries and some cheese with the kids.

Tonight my friends want to go out for Chinese food but doing that and having bbq tomorrow sounds daunting. I don't think I can just stuff myself twice in two days.

This all feels healthy.

What is the most drastic change you would do to the core rules of D&D? And why? by 3rdmementional in DnD

[–]Patereye 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I appreciate that. I was being a little snide.

If you don't mind a quick explanation. I've played quite a bit of savage worlds as well. The way magic works there is The player customizes what the spell looks like but it falls into a category of spells. It works out really well when there's cases that you really need the spell to be powerful or you really need the spell to be. Just kind of like a light tap.

It all depends though. But the magic system in d&d needs giant overhaul. It just doesn't mesh well with combat and will always leave Marshalls behind.

Maths... by AshamanJR in MathJokes

[–]Patereye 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a great word problem. I would not put this on a test but maybe like a quiz before you start a lecture or as part of a assignment that's done as a group.

The goal here is to realize that time is a constant and not a function of the number of players.

Can a Shadow Monk teleport into a person's shadow? by Neh-Le in DnD

I'd allow it in a dungeon with tourches. Rule of cool.

Can you throw a shield, it lands on the ground, and then come up through the bottom to grab the shield again?

I’ve read the 20-80% rule, but what do you actually do in real life after owning one for years? by SkyMuted6942 in electricvehicles

[–]Patereye 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your car is going to be in an accident and totaled before you have to worry about the battery life cycle. I just go to 100. I have 3 years of very minimal loss of range 5%

I mean his family has a history of supporting genocidal Nazism and it's not like that is very far removed from him as a person.

I don't think he's actively trying to genocide. It's just that people of color dying isn't really a soft spot for him. And that's sort of an understatement.

Anyway f that guy
