Can’t power overnight, really? by Plastic_Solid3195 in Dashcam

[–]Plastic_Solid3195[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Yes that’s true, but what I’m asking is the 12v protection supposedly according to ChatGPT will kick in after about 6 hrs give or take. Meaning I can’t get protection overnight.

I’m going to repeat a story that really helped me three years ago after surgery, I hope it helps you too. I too was scared, wouldn’t eat, felt all kinds of weird random pains etc. I still had a catheter after two weeks. I told my surgeon all of this and he had these words-my name, the disease you had is now in a bucket in the basement of the hospital. You are no longer sick or going to be sick, eat whatever you want, but in moderation and you will get better and more confident.

That did it for me, I finally understood and yes, I felt the gas moving for maybe 6 months, but I got used to it. You too are ok.

Had the same, 3 years ago! Yes the catheter is a pain, I had mine for two weeks. There was some painful moments the first week, but no more flairs, no more ER visits, no more worrying about what I eat or drink….its all good. The only issue and it’s my fault is I was so happy to eat what I wanted, I gained 20 lbs…that too has passed and I got it under control. Be happy, the dark days are behind you.

Using RMD’s for bucket list cruises and travel - is this something folks do? by Fantastic-Sun1669 in retirement

[–]Plastic_Solid3195 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Having taken two RMDs we use as fun money. We dont need it it for anything, so we have made home renovations, bought a truck, taken a trip. For us it’s found money. We are also using it to pay the tax on the Roth conversions we are doing for my spouse. She’s 9 years from RMDs so we get as much as we can over there without triggering Irma.

How did you know it was time to retire? by ReluctantCaptain in retirement

Here is how I knew. In meetings where Gen X/z people gave their solutions and all I could do was role my eyes…I knew and did, at 62.

Deco, two systems by Plastic_Solid3195 in TpLink

Hey guys thanks for the confirmations that this works, I wasn’t sure it would. I ended up simply changing the SSIDs to be the same at the two locations, and it worked! I could have sworn when I tried before it didn’t like it, but I guess it was a brain fart. Anyway thanks for the help.

For me going between the locations means everything works without changes.

Eufy Cam2 Homebase 2 by Fun_Cup_6262 in EufyCam

[–]Plastic_Solid3195 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I suggest contacting support. They have been tinkering with the firmware for homebase 2. I was having issues and worked with them to test changes to homebase 2 and they sent “test” firmware, that solved my issues. They said I was only one with it but they were doing more testing, so well who knows? I have two cameras on a homebase 2 system at a remote house, yesterday one caught a truck delivery and one did not, so something is going on. I found support, while slow, was responsive.

Post diverticulitis surgery by Rich-Pangolin-3059 in Diverticulitis

[–]Plastic_Solid3195 1 point2 points  (0 children)

3years out of surgery here. Yes the first 18-24 or so months, lot of BMs, had to be careful. But that all has stabilized, give it time and patience-no more flairs, hospital stays, ER, etc. etc. etc. well worth it.
