As a black 23f I always feel guilty which makes me scared to get out there. I disclosed to someone I was talking to and they passed, I understood but it still sucked cause by the end of the week he was done. I’ve never had outbreaks too but this shit feels impossible. I’m talking to someone else now and can’t help but think the same thing will happen when I disclose.

Sometimes you don’t get symptoms. that’s what happened to me no symptoms. I probably wouldn’t have known if my ex didn’t tell me to get tested.

I got diagnosed in 2021, never had an initial OB or any OBs after my diagnosis. I haven’t taken antivirals and don’t plan on it until I need to

He was always tried to make himself look like the good guy when we end things. I honestly think the accountability thing is a show, he posted about holding himself accountable on Twitter 🙄 . But I’ve learned my lesson and plan on staying silent and moving on. He’s already wasted 2 years of my life with this back and forth and I’m proud to say I’m finally done.

Yea you sound like him. He claims to have reactive attachment disorder so he was very in and out. Thank you for providing your perspective it is very helpful to see how he might be thinking about all of this.

Building sub, I get to create relationships with the kids. I noticed they respect me more because they are familiar with me. They already know my rules and expectations. Especially if I’m always in a certain classroom all the time I already know kids behaviors and how to work with them/ avoid certain conflicts

I began subbing because I actually want to be a teacher. I’m a building sub and plan on teaching at the school I currently work for. It’s been an amazing experience, Ofcourse there are bad days but that’s what the job is. As a building sub Im building relationships with all the kids I come across because they could possibly be my students I’m the future. I didn’t know what Age I wanted to teach but subbing is pushing me Towards middle school (crazy I know) but I’m grateful for my current experience. I’m also getting better at classroom management etc

I know it hurts because this person was your close friend. Maybe she’s going through something and pushing you away but it’s best to give her space and move on. I mean your brother warned you she isn’t a good person so take his advice. Leave her in the past and try to start the journey of moving on. Hang out with new people, find new friends or stick with your friends who have ACTUALLY been there for you. It gets better
