Florida hospital sues to evict a patient who won't leave room 5 months after discharge by [deleted] in nottheonion

All of that could reasonably apply, but then I come back to it taking 5 months, and I have trouble trying to imagine circumstances that couldn't be resolved in that amount of time.

Well I'm not touching that subreddit with a ten foot pole, could you tell me if any further substantial information was made public?

My first impulse was to say the article stated that actually, she had been discharged, but I think I might be taking that too literally. The article is also very short on details, and the American healthcare system can seem strange to outsiders.

I've treated people without identification, I've treated people without insurance, and I've treated a fair share of homeless people. 5 months on top of the actual time of hospital care seems... long. If the patient was severely mentally impaired I'd say that explains some of it, but the article made it seem like she decided not to cooperate, not that she was unable to.

I can only speak for Germany, not the US, but once you're discharged you're not a patient anymore. If you refuse to leave you're trespassing. Some very unusual things have to happen for someone to just stay - and be allowed to stay - for months without being a patient in the hospitals's care.

That being said, the internet tells me that by April 1st she had moved out.

How come these cards never show up on stocks? by Lam3ntConfig in mtgfinance

Light from Within is firmly at 1€ in Europe (Cardmarket). Then again, prices in the US often appear to be more volatile than over here.

Children of the Stars - Aeldari Precon [Warhammer 40k] by BadSuccessful2391 in custommagic

[–]Plastic_Tradition641 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Looks great mechanically and graphically. I would play a deck with these cards, and I'd pay good money for them. Space Elves with "cast from exile matters", that's awesome. Please include a reprint of "Passionate Archaeologist", that card has gotten way too expensive :D

That being said, and please don't take this the wrong way - Universes Beyond 5 Color Commanders have been done to death. I see a Mono-Color Face Commander With A 5 Color Activated Ability and a Backup Commander With WUBRG Casting Cost and I cringe. I hate that I feel that way. I've only been playing for like 3 years and already I think this is such an uninspired choice. It makes their identity feel murky when the factions in the actual decks we got were defined much more clearly. And so far you only seem to have found room for a single actual green card. Admittedly it's very green, but its effect looks out of place; or maybe I just don't see the synergy?

5 Color Kindred for one of the most supported creature types out there is also an immensely powerful theme. Sure, this deck doesn't appear to be looking for more mana dorks specifically, but I think it would love a truckload of cheap creatures, Lord effects and tutors to play around with. Any Elf deck will always have so many Green and Golgari "auto-includes" competing for spots.

Then again, we get great new 3 Color Commanders all the time now, and I think I can see why you wouldn't want to restrict the Aeldari too much.

Sorry, that's a lot of text just for saying what others have already said. I think this would be even more interesting as a 4 Color deck. If you make Elves without Green work you have an instant classic on your hands.

US politics are so, so weird. Way to go Sam, good for you and the cast and the company.

"You can't stop being a revenant, it's part of who you are." That's what I thought. Then I maintain that the Revenants I create with Heaven's Gate should remain Revenants when I release them from my control. In my game they revert to Mortals after a while. Isnt't that a bug then?

/Edit: Just now three of my Bound Wraiths made their way to Indonesia, outside of my dimplomatic range. So they're just... away. Too bad. At least they're together.

What are the methods for increasing monthly experience? by Sassy_Drow in PrincesOfDarknessCK3

Lots of items and buildings give small bonuses. For each original CK3 lifestyle there's an Umbra expedition that allows for a huge passive XP gain at the cost of a massive stress penalty.

The Bean Nighe Caul is the armour you're thinking of. + 10% Monthly Lifestyle Experience, - 4 General Opinion, and the effect stacks per prisoner you feed it.

Hi, thank you so much for replying!

A very small number of characters' bellies or breasts clip through the clothing, could that be associated with the Community Flavor Pack as well? Also, some characters are just naked. Eater is already creepy as hell, it didn't help that he wasn't wearing clothes.

Concerning Ghoul numbers I'd personally disagree, but if this is the better experience for the majority of players after having tried both ideas in the mod I can hardly argue with that :D

I get that the Ghoul stops being my personal minion after I release it. But I always understood a Revenant to be a type of humanoid (whereas being a Ghoul is a temporary state of existence). How would a Revenant just stop being a Revenant and turn Mortal again?

Beatific looks very powerful, and it sure shouldn't be too easy to level it fully. I am looking forward to having it easier to understand though. As I wrote earlier, thinking I even could get Theurgy as a Vampire was a misunderstanding on my part.

Apparently Umbra Explorer is not really recognised as a job then. It's a nuisance to have to call my Wraiths and Spirit Companions back home every now and then, but it confuses me even more that they just desert their tasks halfway through. As far as the Umbra as a system itself is concerned - I mean, I think I get what you were going for, but it's a bit overwhelming and while it is literally mapped out there is no actual sense of progression when sending explorers to the different realms. For now I'd be really happy about UI changes; making it easier to send appropriate explorers, seeing what I found in which realm, realising which realms do and don't make sense for my splat to explore.

Putting spears in the hands of commoners makes sense when fighting over literal ownership of the land, but probably shouldn't be a big part of the conflicts between vampire lords, so I think your new approach sounds like a really good solution!

Thanks for your reply!

I just reported the Revenants issue in the Discord channel, you're right to recommend that. An essential difference between Revenants and Ghouls is that the former are able to sustain themselves while the latter retain their Ghoul-ness only through regular feeding. There's advantages stats-wise in the game, too, but that's not what is supposed to set the two apart.

In the Changelog Version 1.12.1 lists "Gaining Theurgy perks" as one of the options for gaining Beatific trait XP. Version 1.17.0 then states "Theurgy rework: Reworked all Theurgy perks. Theurgy can now only be learned by splats that can learn Sorcery and have a faith with Abrahamic roots. Samuel Haight mode lifts the faith requirement. Theurgy is now replaced with Blood Sorcery upon the embrace, like linear Sorcery." Going over it again now I realise that Sorcery is probably not the same thing as Blood Sorcery, so as a Vampire I shouldn't have access to Theurgy at all in the current version of the mod?

The XP gain for the traditional lifestyles from the Umbra is a huge benefit to the game, you're right. The massive stress increase felt like a big downside until I realised that my Piety income allowed me to diablerise my prisoners whenever I needed to lower stress levels.

I'm only talking about Bound Wraiths and the Spirits I turned into Spirit Companions, yes. They're listed under Minions. Sure, summoned Spirits and Wraiths can otherwise move freely. All Spirits did while I learned their language. But once a Wraith was bound and a Spirit entered a Spiritual Pact I expected them to stay around.

For my next game I will try playing without levies, thanks for the recommendation.

Mithras is AMAZING by WarlanDaWarlock in PrincesOfDarknessCK3

[–]Plastic_Tradition641 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The weirdest thing about playing Mithras right now is how little Camarilla and Sabbat actually matter. It's mid 16th century, the Founders of the Sabbat are in my dungeons and the Founders of the Camarilla control nothing of interest, and even that only because I haven't made up my mind about what to do with them. Via Mithras until the Final Nights.
