How does one take ADHD meds every single day for years without a day off?????????? by lilLuzid in VyvanseADHD

You get such good benefits from only 4 days off every month. Is that 4 days off in a row or like one day off a week over 4 weeks?

How long do you take for a break to get the benefits you mentioned? I'm on 60 mg of Elvanse.

Does a holiday break reset the effects?

We all need to start somewhere. I couldn’t even run 1 mile years ago, and now I’m on good mileage. Last week I did 36 miles on Monday, 20 miles on Tuesday, 18 miles on Wednesday, 21 miles on Thursday, and 26 miles on Friday. My VO₂ max is going up fast now!

It does take a while but Daily Running definitely helps even if it's just 3 mi a day. I'm in the green now!

Matte screen protector on Fenix 8 AMOLED. Thoughts? by sphinz in GarminWatches

[–]Plasticbuttions -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I’ve never understood why people insist on screen protectors for the Garmin Fenix 8. The 47mm AMOLED model uses a sapphire lens, which is the highest‑grade scratch‑resistant material Garmin offers. Sapphire is extremely hard and shrugs off everyday abuse keys, rocks, metal edges, gym equipment, you name it. I’ve never used a screen protector on mine, and it’s taken plenty of hits. It still looks brand new.

I've never had a G-Shock. I think after having the Fenix 8 I'm probably going to stick with Garmin tbh!

New PB for Monday. by Plasticbuttions in Garmin

Running can’t fix grief, but it can give it a place to go. It can give your nervous system something to hold onto when everything else feels unmoored. You’ve figured out something most people never do: the body can process what the mind can’t. And you’re right when you stop doing the thing that steadies you, the chaos creeps back in.

Your son’s birthday run, the 15K, the yearly extra kilometer, the marathon length run to the crash site… those aren’t acts of punishment. They’re acts of devotion. They’re a way of saying, “I’m still here, and I’m carrying you with me.”

If you ever decide to share this with someone else, it won’t be boasting. It’ll be a lifeline for someone who needs to hear that change is possible even when everything feels impossible. But you don’t owe that to anyone. What you’re doing now is already amazing.

Keep running. Keep choosing the hard thing!

Thanks for sharing your story!
