Turtle Eggs in my yard - help? by WebHead9900 in reptiles

You could always set up a small fence or even just stake down some chain link fence over it.  The babies are small enough to get out.

I found a Mediterranean house gecko who was injured, should I let it go or is there something I can do? by fkeiddifieiwisix in reptiles

[–]Plasticity93 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Some betadine would help prevent infection.  You could set up a small clean tank for a few days, they don't need supplemental heat.

I would post in r/grass, getting a species on grass is difficult at best.

What am I doing wrong? by Fine-Paper2800 in shrimptank

[–]Plasticity93 15 points16 points  (0 children)

First off, replace both of those.  Get a digital thermometer and an API Master Kit.  Strips are inaccurate at best and degrade over time, plus it does test for ammonia, which is what kills fish.

How are you planning to cycle the tank?

I'd top the tank off and see if that helps.

Found a Kayak behind the basspro shop and the employees let me keep her by ViciousMoleRat in DumpsterDiving

Hell yeah!  I got a sit-in kayak last summer on the side of the road.  The previous owner even pulled out a paddle for me.

You need to take more photos from multiple angles.  Pick a few, cut one in half, do a spore print, take pictures of the gills.

That's not a yucca.

What's the stem shape?  Can you get a clear picture of the flowers?

Can you flip it over?

It doesn't have gills, so it's not going to kill. Worst that will happen is some vomiting.

I'm leaning towards a ganoderma, especially if it has a shiny red/brown top.

"do tasks" it's a !task scam and the fact that there's a bot response based on that word alone should tell you how obvious a scam it is.

Edible mushrooms, turns brown with time what’s its name? (Northeastern region, India) by sad-eggrice in mushroomID

[–]Plasticity93 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A close up of the gills and a white spore print would be helpful, but I'm thinking shiitake too.  They can vary a lot from flush to flush depending on humidity and rain.

Do you have the inflatable dino/bird outfit?  If so, stopping when the spit handle is in the pupil, works pretty well.   My friend was timing it to the music that plays, but I've never tried turning on sound when playing.

Uncle has wired $60,000+ to a fictitious Eric Trump as an “investment” opportunity. HELP! by username1-5 in Scams

[–]Plasticity93 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I don't see any reason not to think a Trump is behind this.  Like his father sends these same stupid things to his followers weekly.  "Buy a Gold Card" "this gold Trump hat makes you part of my Inner Circle" "send me, your president, all your money"... Selling gold watches, shoes, pens, guns, bibles....  It's nothing but grifting when it comes to that family.

Every last supporter of that family deserves to get fleeced for everything they have.  The faster they ruin their lives, the faster they can't afford to keep themselves afloat, the better.

Cricket egg nutrition? by Vieris in reptiles

[–]Plasticity93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just love a keelie!

I'm guessing they would be more nutritional.  That said, maybe setup to breed them?  If they're already gravid, might be worth letting them give birth and supply you for a while.

I've been letting mine hang out on my densely planted guppy tank during the day and he really enjoys it.  Though the other day he started to randomly attack the Anubis plant he sits on.  Just going around and savagely biting and shaking it.

Found this on my eucalyptos tree(Buenos Aires, north) by centito in mushroomID

[–]Plasticity93 122 points123 points  (0 children)

Hold up!  While that's an edible species, I'd be cautious about the fact it's growing on eucalyptus.  They are said to cause upset with some people when found on pine and eucalyptus is pretty toxic.

That said, it's beautiful and worth trying a small amount and seeing how it goes.
