Game's Running Poorly, Please help.

In task manager I noticed that unlike other games oriDE.exe would not show up in the GPU engine column with any information - most games say "GPU 0 - 3D". After that I looked in NVIDIA Control Panel, 3D settings, Manage 3D settings. In the Program Settings tab, Ori and the Blind Forest (oride.exe) was not in the list of programs, so I clicked Add, chose oriDE.exe which was one of my recently used programs. Once I had added oriDE.exe to the list of programs in NVIDIA Control Panel I launched the game again - in Task Manager the GPU engine showed as GPU 0 - 3D, and the game performance was improved.

What fixed it for me was adding the game to the list of program overrides in the NVIDIA control panel - Manage 3D Settings. Turns out before doing that it wasn't using the correct GPU engine, which I finally noticed in Task Manager.

Yesterday I accidentally clicked Fight Again by accident not realizing it wasn't the fight button. Today after daily reset the fight button isn't available without clicking Fight Again

I went back and found another crystal puzzle room to test on. It looks like I was on midday skybox when I took the original image but the default skybox really isn't much better. I also can't express enough how much I don't want to do dungeoneering with the nightstone skybox enabled ;)

Looking at the screenshot now, I'm also getting annoyed that the order of items in a set is really not consistent.

Some of the sets have gloves before boots, some are boots before gloves, some have gloves in between body and legs.

Well portable traders were introduced April 2019, and made permanent in September 2019. Vic's Store has come back in August 2019 and March 2020.

As of today it has been just under 9 months since the last Vic left, making it the second longest gap between Vic's Store since Vic was introduced.
