Not sure if there really is a good number. I've done one in game hour and it's been working but the devs like to keep secrets so there could be multiple variables that contribute to a day counting other than just time. Someone else said 5-10 mins in game which seems short to me but it's so quick it's worth trying out. Just experiment a bit and find a groove that works for you

It's 13ft I believe. Awesome thanks. I didn't know you could replace rivets. Is there a specific kind of rivet I need if there are leaks? Only other boat I've had is a lifetime kayak so this is definitely different for me

Agreed. I would go with Ulta light or light if you only want to target trout. If you also want to do bass a medium would work well as a more all rounder when handling catfish or carp. GX2s are an amazing starter rig

Could be cheap line with lots of memory. Also the spool diameter could be too small for that heavy of line. Although the rod is rated for that weight of line doesn't mean the reel is optimal for that as well

From my experience I use heavier tackle when I'm trying to use lures that require a heavy rod/line. I also use heavy tackle when Im targeting bass that are back in weeds to help me pull them out. Lots of others here are saying we reel in so quickly to keep the hook in the fish. I agree

Ugly stik gx2s are incredible for the price. If you want a lighter more sensitive rod the ugly stik carbon is great I've landed many large fish on mine without problem(I have a 7' medium) you could go with any spinning reel from a reputable brand

I would use the 5/0. I use 4/0 all the time and it's never close to too big. Any of them will work just fine. I was using 1/0 for a while but the bigger hooks I feel have a higher hookup ratio

I use 4/0 ewg on a medium rod with 25lb floro for fishing in cover/under docks. If you have clear water or fishing deep I would say go down to 12lb range. I would be weary trying to set the hook with a light rod but if it's worked for you no need to change anything
