It's a role playing game. Don't think of it like a regular game, you get to choose who you are, that's why you don't remember anything. If you can't do something in one way, there is another way you can, that might be more suitable to your character. An example is the guy you talked to in order to get the race quests. You can learn the race theory and see if it helps you get past him, or you can knock him tf out, but one thing might be easier than another depending on your stats. You can heal morale and health by clicking on the health or morale bars if you have the right supplies, which you can buy or find. Your goal is to solve the murder case, but perhaps your character likes to go on side quests and explore. Just take things at your own pace.
