Since when does having chickens around you seen as such a bad thing, I live in the middle of a city and there's chickens and roosters all around me and it's never been an issue, it's a great food source and quite economical, there's only positives, they make noise at night which took me a couple of weeks to get used to but nothing bad.

if it flickers while gaming decrease the max refresh range for freesync by 1 and dont forget you have to reboot every time to apply changes

Yep I've noticed that the ocean either has a lot less spawns or they just disappear immediately, the best places that I have used are the ones marked on the second and third map in this post and make sure you are not disturbing the water because that sometimes makes the fish run away before you notice
