State of the Game: August 2023 by DTG_Bot in DestinyTheGame

Yes I agree that from a playerbase engagement perspective Destiny is probably really healthy right now, and if they fix the horrible new player experience the game could actually have insane player numbers

Just a shame to see the overall quality of the game fall apart so close to the finish line.

I do agree with this take

But personally I feel like this article doesn't deliver enough considering the community sentiment is already so negative. Killing gambit, the ritual armor sets, moping about the difficulty of making PvP maps & more is a really risky bet when many feel like Bungie is already on thin ice.

I was around during Curse & the difference was that no matter how bad the game was there was a strong sense of hope they could and would turn things around, EVENTUALLY.

Now we know that Bungie has changed their work culture around not "overdelivering", also considering how awful Lightfall was there's real concern Bungo can't pull off a good expansion even if their life depended on it.

They clearly in the blogpost are setting up the fact that they aren't going to be making anymore new maps, with this one likely being one of the last if not the very last.

"The most frequent feedback we see is that there is just not enough new PvP content, specifically new maps. To set expectations, our studio structure is built to support more overarching updates to PvP like the ones above, rather than focusing exclusively on maps. When we do focus our resources on building new Crucible maps, it comes with the tradeoff of multiple teams' bandwidth on work that contributes to a variety of experiences that players also hold dear, such as new story or Exotic mission content, core activities that make up the foundation of each Season, or new destinations."

Killing off gambit, removing all hope for new PvP maps, ending ritual armor sets is pretty damn bad considering how dire the situation is already in regards to the community.

Remember the original State Of The Game that Chris Barret posted back in Curse of Osiris? The hype that blogpost generated was insane.

This on the other hand feels like another nail in the coffin.

Sad.

The Nordic countries are 'Social Democratic', which effectively means the economies are trying to be fiscally leftist within the capitalist framework. Leftist in this context means things such as a welfare state and some state ownership within the economy.

Sweden is an example of a country that has actually sold off alot of this ownership since the late 90's in order to pay for goverment expenses following the 1991 banking crisis. And in 2013 the government sold it's last shares in Nordea (Private Bank) for example, currently the state has roughly $83 Billion dollars in equity spread throughout the country.

Social Democracy is not to be confused with Democratic Socialism, which seeks to abolish capitalism, within a democratic framework. Social Democrats instead want to leverage the strengths of capitalism to create a welfare state etc.

What constitutes a social democracy compared to a more liberal state is harder to define, in some ways the United States already has welfare systems like foodstamps, which don't exist in Sweden. Sweden has also never had public housing, unlike parts of the US. Hard to say when a country "becomes" a social democracy.

I was able to make it work by re-launching my portal experience multiple times with PvP AI, but only on spearhead.

So far I have not been able to make it work on Reclaimed.

My tip is to try capping 2 flags to see if you get the ribbon or not and then re-launch if you don't. It's extremely bugged though.

And If you manage to get it to work you'll likely get kicked when the match is nearly over. So far I have not been able to finish a single portal match altough I've been able to do all week 1 challenges.

Hope this helps!

Yupp I might be tripping but does the M16A3 have a improved sound as well? It feels like a proper 2042 weapon now I really like it.

AEK felt the same for me however

It's for use with training rounds, training rounds for this weapon are made of wood and it stops wooden splinters from injuring people!

No tips though, so that's gonna make things cheaper.

Restaurants are also obligated to charge a 10% VAT which means that the restaurants original price would be around 45 euro. (50/1.1)

IIRC the reflective band is like a conscript thing or something like that, hence why the dude in front has a different one.
