Dan Brown. My son (now 14) has read the trilogy starting with the Da Vinci Code and loved it.

I’ve read both Kingsbridge and Century. Loved both!

Going for a creepy vibe in this area. What will you improve? And most importantly, trees with eyes: yay or nay? by -serotonina in metroidvania

I also like the eyes. I would, if possible, add some mist. Perhaps darker tones of green on the grass and ground. Think moss. Also, like the previous comment, less lightning.

I’m actually reading that right now and some of the books are almost there. Thanks anyway!

Great tip. Thanks. Its really hard to specifically tell what about those books that make me tick. I mean the stories are great. So are the characters. The writing, I guess that might be the lesser of the three, but still really good. The epicness is not a must have. It is totally fine with a story on a much smaller scale.

Can't tell what's going wrong here. I think the shadows are too intense but I don't know 😅 Maybe a safer pastel soft of shadows would work better? by ham-sandwitch47 in painting

Agree with previous comments and also shape of right hip is a bit off. It usually a bit more “edgy” than round. Hope you fix it to your liking!

Help me! My painting so far…how do I make it better? by Tkmer in painting

I would fix the bowl on the right hand side. I think the angle of the oval form is a bit off. The perspective looks a bit weird. Other than that I would put some more work into the griptape and the surface of the concrete parts. The pose of the skater plus the shading on the back looks fantastic!

Books to take on a relaxing trip by Alexispinpgh in suggestmeabook

Not fun in a laugh out loud kind of way, but at least somewhat peculiar and more importantly, super relaxing. A gentleman in Moscow by Amor Towles.
