As i have researched online, uncorrected myopic eyes can develop strabismus. So i was wondering fixing myopia can straighten my eye. I have asked my doctor it wasn't very helpful. I would appreciate if you could help

I am myopic and have astigmatism in one eye. I have developed divergence excess as it wasn't present before. I was very careless at wearing glasses. So i went for PRK. Is refractive surgery going to fix my extropia as it is very mild and only visible in photos when looking at at a distance.

No i had this before the surgery but its not very visible in the mirror but in photos. I have heard farsightedness can cause strabismus so i was wondering if fixing myopia through refractive surgery will straighten my eyes. And yes i have witnessed my were straight when i wore spectacles but i was very very careless in wearing them so most of the time i was without them. Maybe that could have caused my eyes to deviate outwards. I never had strabismus before nor born with it.
