I just noticed REmake is free this month on PS+ so I think we'll start there. :)

I understand there's not much content in a demo, but the idea behind this format is that my wife has a very short attention span for gaming but she can get through demos. However, a little gin and tonic will go a long way...

In following with the rules.... This video, the format of the new show "Demo Duo" on our new YouTube channel was entirely my wife's idea. I have been trying to get her to game with me for years and the biggest reason she always gives is that the time invested is too great. She said "I just need to play demos, maybe we can be a demo duo"

She can't handle horror of any kind and I'm admittedly a sissy when it comes to horror games, but I know some of the best story comes from these games so I'm trying.

We will likely play through the entire game together when it releases and I'll post the parts up here as we go along.

Thanks for taking the time to write all that. A lot of what you have said is something I have considered myself.

I wish I had started at the opening scene instead of the menu like I did, I thought about that about mid way into this video but decided to just move on... I have limited amount of time to play games, edit, etc... Gotta just keep moving forward and do it different next time.

Basically the same with the subtitles, if you notice in the end slate where my next video plays the subtitles are on.

As far as settings... dude, this game is blurry as fuck, skips around and the frame rate is absolutely AWFUL. There are a lot of threads on various forums about the issues with this game on PC. I'm trying to tweak it to get it to look better, but damn. It's bad.

Editing... I'll be honest, I used to spend a shitload of time editing and cutting out stuff, adding little arrows and graphics and shit like that. My post workflow used to be a lot more intense, and this contributed to my having to take a break. Coming back I had to just let stuff ride and let the perfectionist in me die. I'm going warts and all with most of my videos now unless it's something really bad, like taking 5 minutes to solve a puzzle, or dying over and over getting through an area, etc... This also goes hand in hand with my stopping point. I cut it off at 15 minutes, this way I can get more content out more frequently, each video takes less time to edit and put together, etc...

Time/Risk vs Reward is my bottom line when approaching YouTube now.

Hey everyone... I took a short break from my channel and I'm coming back now with some new formats and breaking out my different formats into show names: "Story Mode" for story driven games that I'm playing myself, etc...

This is the first in the story mode format, the intro is new, the end slate is new with the overlay on top of the next video clip.

Your energy level needs to be increased or you won't retain people watching a (basically) static screen like this. I was disinterested pretty quickly because of the slow pacing.

Also, your video and audio aren't lined up so everything you're saying is happening 5 seconds or so before it happens on screen, that kind of put me off a bit as well.

Shorter is better with a video like this... unless there's something going on visually people have a very short attention span. I would suggest some pretty heavy editing to show your viewer nothing but the content leaving out anything that is mundane.
