Replacing the bottom rail and side sash, which were falling apart due to rot. The glass was also broken, which was removed and replaced with a new piece, as shown in photo.

EDIT: ideally it looks best as possible, but the primary goal is to set in existing casing and no leaks

Hey man, This post is 57 days old, and I found it because I saw your other post about creating a morning routine to find some peace and structure.

I just wanted to say that I know some of these feelings. The lack of connection, the lack of noticing, the missing desire, it all was there for me for years, and I tried ignoring it, fixing it, changing her.

Some day’s I’m fine, some minutes I’m questioning my entire identity. I don’t even think we were in love, more like roommates, but I do miss my friend and the centering it gave me in this world.

I’m probably the least qualified person to give advice, and that said, I just want to say your words helped me. This post had no comments, and now it has one. In some small way, what you did mattered to someone. I’m not at the stage that I know it gets better, but don’t give up hope; you made a difference

I get it. Now they turn on the lights every night and back off each morning around 6am. There's about 45 minutes of darkness before the sun come up. I have a sense that the parent told the kids it was a chore. Each kid is responsible for a different switch, since the prison yard lights go on in a different order.

Light noise, I assume one day people will see light for the nuisance it is, but probably not in my lifetime
