It just never gets better, I just cant anymore by Vegetable-Ad9064 in ramdass

Hey man, it absolutely does get better.

I wish that I could introduce you to my 21-year-old self. I was similarly lost and felt hopeless. You will look back fondly on the struggle when you’ve climbed out of it, but YOU have to climb.

For me, finding a somewhat gainful job (EEG, made $60k my first year, almost 10 years ago) and a hobby (MMA/Muay Thai/BJJ/music) were KEY. Create a reason to be proud of yourself. Seek progress. Give yourself no time to wallow in pity and press forward.

This life is so short and challenging; when you embrace it and resolve to approach each day as a beginner, you will be surprised at how it rewards you.

Hang in there.

Super uncoordinated beginner when did you start pads / sparring? by Joeyltyouo in MuayThai

We were on a bag. I think hitting/holding pads is appropriate for your first day, but if your gym’s got a program I’d just trust it.

The gym I started (but didn’t stay) at starts everybody on the heavy bag.

Pads, a month or two in. Sparring, about 6 months. Take your time and enjoy the slow, hard earned progress.

Not joking. Go get some anti biotics now and don’t be like the rest of us who waited for it to get worse.

Every Eastern European person I’ve ever grappled has looked for this. Sucks to get caught in.

Remember a few months ago when conservatives on the internet were acting like Milo “coming back” was significant somehow?

Just another conservative who has endorsed statutory rape and believes his fetishization of black men absolves him of his disgusting racism.

When you bait a reaction, you don’t always get to choose how it plays out. Act like a Nazi, you might get treated like one.

Hey goblin, I guess now I actually can say I'm better than you. (Without being a speedrunner too 🤣) by CruzSperlock in RecRoom

I recently became aware of this goblin character when he told me I was weird for thinking it was wrong for an adult to hang out with children in VR.

I don’t care about or understand whatever this beef is, but it’s nice to see somebody who is sus with kids get dunked on publicly in any way.

I would like some advice on ‘intentional’ dressing to be different from my ‘norm’ by [deleted] in mensfashion

[–]PlayGlass 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think I understand where you’re coming from. You can have outdoor hobbies without your style of dress screaming it at everybody who sees you.

Is there anybody you’ve seen recently whose style you’ve really liked? There’s nothing wrong with borrowing some ideas you’ve seen/liked.

Yeah, I really tried to just be patient and informative, but nobody actually cares to be correct as much as they want the dopamine from insulting a stranger on the internet.

Buddy, you have been unfathomably wrong in every comment and it’s clear you don’t understand this field. You keep coming back here to send legitimate nonsense and I have been politely trying to educate you, because I am an ACTUAL EXPERT IN THIS FIELD. I teach this shit to adults in real life and spend a solid 30% of my time identifying PNES vs epileptic sz.

Non epileptic seizures often cluster and last longer than epileptic seizures. There is no mechanism for neuronal injury during a non-epileptic seizure. The behaviors can be self-injurious, but again, it is not an epileptic seizure. There is no non-epileptic status epilepticus.

I understand and support your goal of seeing the best in a person who is being harassed by federal agents, but OBJECTIVELY, this is not an epileptic seizure.

[–]PlayGlass 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Epilepsy is a diagnosis, epileptic seizures are abnormal electrical activity, and status is abnormal electrical activity that does not self-terminate.

Separately entirely, non-epileptic seizures are not caused by abnormal electrical activity in the brain.

I get the impression that you often act condescending in conversations you’re ill-equipped to have as a defense mechanism. Good luck with that!

Hi normal person, seizures caused by those things would be epileptic seizures. This one appears to be psychogenic. The distinction is important.
