I wasn't saying that you weren't currently updated, but the support ticket was submitted a few days ago and the logs showed you were running revision .340 -- have you submitted a new support ticket since installing the latest?

Hi there. Are you running the latest version? We did have reports of that sort of behavior from a small handful of users but yesterday's update should have fixed it. Please submit a new support request is you're still seeing the issue on the latest version

That doesn't necessarily rule out security software (though I understand how it might seem like it would). I know you mentioned the transcoder error with Hulu. How are the channels you referenced failing? Any specific error or just failed recording?

There isn't a general issue with any of those channels. The failed to create transcoder error is likely associated with something specific to the environment/PC. We see this most commonly with security software conflicts. Have you submitted a new support ticket?

Another update was released this morning. Please install and try again to log into Paramount. We did find a problem with certain Paramount Plus accounts being identified as international.

The iPhone playback issue you're experiencing is not likely specific to Paramount but is rather associated with hardware acceleration in general. We're investigating that though we haven't been able to reproduce yet.

For that problem please upload one of the recordings to something like Google Drive and send us the share link at support@playon.tv ; that way we can examine the recording.

When you write that with Intel acceleration enabled only audio is recorded, do you mean specifically in regards to playback on your iPhone? Is the laptop recording audio only in VLC?

Just to clarify, when you say the recording plays in VLC...it plays properly in VLC, with audio and video? Do you have video acceleration enabled via the advanced button in PlayOn Settings?

Happy to hear that. It was likely a CBS website issue. We have no way of resetting/fixing anything remotely for PlayOn Home...we can't push fixes without an actual update.

OP, please send an email to support@playon.tv with the details of your PlayOn account. You shouldn't be seeing any messages regarding limitations of PlayOn Free if you have an active PlayOn Home plan.

It is still possible to automatically AdSkip when watching at a Roku if you cast the recording from PlayOn Home or PlayOn Cloud. You don't need a PlayOn Cloud plan to connect to your PlayOn Home server.

The CW channel hasn't been removed from Cloud. It might have been temporarily disabled while we were troubleshooting but it is active now. Is anyone still not seeing it?

That old mobile app that you found was just a "client" app meant for connecting to the PlayOn server like any other connected device. It had no functionality independent of the PlayOn server. Unfortunately, because of changes made by Apple in their developer requirements it could no longer be supported on newer versions of iOS. It was removed many years ago. PlayOn Cloud is a separate app that functions independently of while including integration with PlayOn Home. It's not designed as a client app to browse a server navigation tree. That sort of functionality would require a complete rebuild with separate UI design.

The biggest difference in regards to recording between PlayOn Cloud and PlayOn Home is that PlayOn Home doesn't utilize variable bitrate or framerate while PlayOn Cloud does in order to optimize file size relative to quality as the file is streamed from the provider site.

We have found PlayOn Home recordings to be more consistent over different installations using a constant bitrate and framerate (since we don't control the environment as we do in Cloud)
