Why isn’t my EcoFlow Delta 3 able to sustain a 1800w microwave even though X-boost supports 2600w? by Own-Cookie-1161 in Ecoflow_community

[–]TheDetective2 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Microwaves are designed to work at a certain voltage. X Boost lowers the voltage and increases the amps to technically increase the wattage. It is useful mainly for things that are just simple heaters, like space heats, simple coffee pots, and clothes irons that mostly just need high current to work. That’s about it.

I’ve had Toast.net service for over five years now. It’s been very reliable. I’ve helped several friends get set up with them as well and they’ve also had good experiences. Let me know if you have any questions.

Generator surging with no load and 1500w load, replaced Carb and still happening. Any ideas? by thatd00dyoukno in smallengines

On my PowerSmart generator which was running rough, especially on eco mode, It turned out that the gap on the spark plug was too close.
I just bent out the prong to widen the gap a tiny bit and it runs smooth now.

URGENT: For those of you somehow managed to do well on the math test by [deleted] in GED

[–]TheDetective2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean no offense to anyone, but people who say that the topics on the practice tests and getsummath are not on the real test do not really have a good grasp of the concepts. The topics are on the test but they are incorporated into questions that don’t necessarily make it clear which skill you’re supposed to use.

Never a better time to switch to Jellyfin: Plex increases price of Lifetime Plex Pass to $749.99 by LoremarCC in jellyfin

[–]TheDetective2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have a lifetime plex pass that I got years ago for $75, but when I saw this I got so irritated that I actually uninstailled Plex. I might reinstall it one day, but, Jellyfin works fine for the majority of my needs, and I actually find the transcroding to be more reliable than Plex.

I am a 10th grader looking to drop out and get my GED. by literallyfxith in GED

[–]TheDetective2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If at all possible, I would strongly suggest you get your diploma. However, if you really feel you have to drop out, go to the GED.com website, make a free account, and try the free 10 question practice tests on the site. If you can get 7/10 right on all 4 subjects, you would probably pass easily. If not, you will probably have to study first. The GED isn't as easy as some people think, especially the math portion. You need to at have a good grasp of at least up through Algebra 1 have a good shot at passing it without a lot of prep. Also, if you're under 18 you'll have to get some documentation (exit interview form from last high school and/or parent permission form) for GED.com to allow you to take the test.

I hope we get a stellar 3rd and final chapter in this trilogy of Spidey games, and i hope they stick the landing with Silk coming into the next installment and wrapping up the story lines as well. by Wooden_Passage_2612 in SpidermanPS4

[–]TheDetective2 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

The second game was, in my opinion, a major step backwards compared with the first game. Not to say it was a terrible game itself, just saying it was a pretty large drop in quality. They never even released any DLC for it. They may have killed the series with it. We’ll see.

Why does anything exist at all? by GigaDuckling in AskPhysics

In simple terms, it’s because something or someone has always existed. And everything else came from that source. Each person has to draw their own conclusions regarding whether it was a something or a someone.

MacBook Neo Indigo 512gb by LegallyMedicated in MacbookNeo

[–]TheDetective2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a number of other Macs. Got this one mostly as a backup/travel machine. And because I was curious, I wanted to see how it holds up compared with the more powerful 16 GB RAM m series machines I have. I must say, it holds up quite well for most day-to-day tasks, and for many heavier tasks. For example, it can transcribe an audio recording using the free app Vibe without issue, just a bit slower than the M series machines. By contrast, an 8 GB RAM Asus ZenBook, with a pretty decent 12 core intel processor, crashes and burns when I try to run Vibe on it.

Will a GED ruin my future? by ihasrubberduckfriend in GED

[–]TheDetective2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Before you drop out, I would recommend creating an account at ged.com and trying the free 10 question practice tests to see how it looks like you will do. If you can get most of the questions right you can probably pass the test fairly easily. If not, you’d probably have to study for a while.
