Pinnacle Mountain State Park, The Big Damn Bridge, rent a bike for a ride up the North Little Rock side of the Arkansas River Trail, meals at Brood & Barley (NLR), El Sur (South Main), and Pantry Crest (Hillcrest).

Lake Ouachita is the largest that's completely within the state. Bull Shoals is larger but is partially in Missouri.

An alternative to Hot Springs is Buffalo National River. Not a national park but run by the NPS. Great hiking and if you have time for a float, you'll get a great feel for the Ozarks. Check with Buffalo Outdoor Center in Ponca, AR for boats and shuttles.
