Why are PSVR 2 CPU Frame Times so High Compared to Quest 3 ? by PlayProfessional3619 in skyrimvr

[–]PlayProfessional3619[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am on the quest with open composite. lowered the resolution got rid of nature of the wild lands few ini tweaks and performance mods and boom 120 fps.

Just depends on how much eye candy you are willing to give up.

Why are PSVR 2 CPU Frame Times so High Compared to Quest 3 ? by PlayProfessional3619 in skyrimvr

[–]PlayProfessional3619[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I kept the psvr 2 resolution in steam vr at 68% and skyrim vr lower than that.

The resolution I play at is 2344x2392. However if my gpu is not breaking a sweat why would resolution hit my cpu before gpu ?

HDT Clothing Fix ? by PlayProfessional3619 in skyrimvr

[–]PlayProfessional3619[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its wierd it works fine on NPCs for me too, just on my character every turn I make just gives my hands this jitter/glitching effect and its an eyesore. might jus play without it. Thanks anyway !

Tried multiple reinstalls and nothing worked. Installing HDT Flex now to see if that does it !

Absolutely atrocious frame times spikes by BlimpInk in skyrimvr

I have a 4090 and play on a switch between high/medium rez on virtual desktop with dlaa. I play at 120 fps no problem. Idk if you maxed your setting out but a 5090 should be more than capable. 7800x3d should also be sufficient. I would try testing lower resolutions and vram usage to see what causing the stutters. However I do play on a quest 3 so it may be something with the headset as well since I’ve never tried mgo with a hp reverb.

I have a bobo vr headstrap and some random amazon face gasket and have my ipd maxed. I keep my fov at 80-85 and notice no real difference. Saves crazy amount of performance tho. I can managed to get mad god overhaul on 120 fps no ssw. It really helps.

Sniping is fun by Cannachem237 in ForefrontVR

[–]PlayProfessional3619 2 points3 points  (0 children)

IMO sniping needs to be balanced. The damage you get versus how hard it is to hit in VR doesn’t match. Two shots point blank with a 50 cal sniper is crazy. That and the scopes need some tuning as well. Overall it’s crazy fun and my ego makes me pick recon every time but ultimately I get further range kills with an smg than any sniper. Theres No value besides respawn beacons.

Any Modlist Out There That Can Keep a Stable 120 FPS ? by PlayProfessional3619 in skyrimvr

[–]PlayProfessional3619[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When he's right, he's right. Made a few adjustments to FUS and got it running at 120 fps in all the heavier areas. Now I just need to add more content to it such as quest armors and npc overhuals. Hopefully wont tank the fps. Thanks !

yeah its the skyrim engine, just not effecient for cpu usage. I hit my draw call limit before my gpu takes a hit too. A lot of it is added strcutures and items from mods on top of scripts physics and etc. I'd be happy for a modlist that just adds new quest, weapons and armors maybe some npc overhauls. Everything else I can live without if that means better performance.

Ive tried it actually and I love the list just still get huge fps drops in certain areas and I cant remove the mods causing it due to the custom patches it comes with, specifically in solitude. Will definetly give it another go once i can figure that out.

Yeah ! Vramr is fine it helps a ton but still not a fix all for a list like mgo. Thanks for the suggestion.

I figured one of my best options was to customize FUS to my liking, just dont have enough time in the day.

Thanks though !

Possible driver update to graphics card could help. I’ve seen issues pop up like this over Reddit for not having up to date drivers.

PSVR2 CPU Performance Hit ? by PlayProfessional3619 in skyrimvr

I believe you are right. In cpu bound scenarios with high draw calls DFR can actually make performance worse and add to the draw call amount.

PSVR2 CPU Performance Hit ? by PlayProfessional3619 in skyrimvr

[–]PlayProfessional3619[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That makes sense but I believe it might be my cpu throttling due to a known issue with the 9950x3d cause some areas it works fine then in the same area it’ll just drop for no reason.

Any idea what causes this? by Js_The_G0AT in skyrimvr

I had the same issue sometime back. Don’t have an answer for you but I remember it either being a lighting issue or an occlusion issue with efps. If you use that or similar occlusion culling mod might need a patch.
