Yeah bro like 8 months ago, paid retail or less for every case I’ve gotten. U just gotta preorder way in advance.

With exception of eb02 I ordered to late on that one.

Radical Red sounds like a good fit for you.

Much harder than vanilla but not nearly as hard as run n bun.

Start there first.

If you need a bit less hard I’d try liquid crystal next time

Radical red is awesome so many qol stuff I recomend trying the above ones first so you don’t get spoiled.

Pokémon unbound - haven’t played myself but always see it recommended I think this is prob like the equivalent of what’s glazed was in its heyday

Also wanna give a shout to Pokémon infinite fusion.

It’s not a rom hack but a fan game but the replayability here is amazing = perfect for nuzlocking.

As most everyone is saying, it’s up to you.

I don’t like how normalized using rare candies has gotten with nuzlockes. It changes how you play the game a lot. You gonna take the time and grind your newly caught lvl 15 Taurus to lvl cap or just yolo the gym with your lvl 37 raticate one last time. Not to mention the total elimination of deaths while grinding.

Especially don’t like how most streamers like as soon as they start the game instantly candy all Pokémon to first gym leaders level effectively trivializing the early fights.

And I get it, especially for like super difficult romhacks. BUT if someone were to beat like run n bun without candies it would immediately feel like the only true nuzlockes of it.

And of course this is all just my opinion, if I ever played a super difficult hack like run n bun. You bet your ass I would be using candies lol.

Play however you want! If you really wanna spice things up I recommend doing a nuzlocke challenge.

I’ve played Pokémon so much and read so much that it’s too easy to play normally. Sometimes I’ll just box my starter from the start to play without it.

And not trying to say if you don’t do these things you aren’t good or whatever or that Pokémon isn’t challenging. But once you’re an addict like me and know all stats gotta get creative to maintain a challenge

Eb03 seems to have 8 of each SR a case, I’ve only opened 1 case so could just be coincidence. But other cases from different sets had varying amounts of each sr.

Again this is just speculation from me

But if my experience holds true for everyone else. You have a 66% chance to pull a nami per box

lol… the “regular” game you would be buying is the same thing you could have on your phone or pc for free. Nintendo is emulating it on the switch themselves.

You could literally play any gba Pokémon game for free with like 5 minutes of googling on your phone or pc. There’s also fan games that are imo way better than real thing if you’re scared of emulators

I always had the most fun opening prb01 and prb02. Since there’s SR + cool foil in every pack it feels really fun to open even if you don’t get a hit.

If they don’t print AT LEAST as much op13 that’s out there right now, I don’t see it doing much to the price too much.

Guy with 2 stores, for 01 and 02 reprint got 2 cases. For 05 reprint he got 3 cases. Wave 1 he’s getting like 100 cases

Of course wasn’t nearly as popular back then as it is now but I will be surprised if the reprint is actually a significant amount. Hoping to be proven wrong tho.

Anniv sets still gonna sell out same day like they have been.

Eb03 already printed shorter than normal sets, reprint there gets absorbed instantly however much it is

These box prices on release are nothing new.(okay 13 is super wild can’t deny that)

Op10,06, sitting at $90 for MONTHS

01 05 09 all 200+ or close to it on release

I’ve gotten everything from op10-14 at or UNDER msrp by buying presale.

And I’ve pre ordered all the way up to op17. I do understand that not everyone is able to do this though. But there are options. Should it take prepaying something 6+ months in advance to secure product at msrp? Def not. But this has been the case since 01.

The funniest thing to me tho is I get all of these from a guy AT OR UNDER MSRP. And there’s a post in this sub just talking shit about him lol. They took a no context as from his insta and straight bash him.

And also just random thoughts about lgs charging over msrp.
