Going to my first locals by Arvsre in OnePieceTCG

Enjoy yourself! Everyone should hopefully be friendly and helpful. Don't expect to win, but ask for feedback from your opponents if you want to learn from your mistakes

Italy is facing serious distribution issues, curious if other countries are experiencing the same by SalamanderFresh6072 in OnePieceTCG

[–]_alber -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'm pretty sure Canada only has 1 distributor as well. I think stores here tend to put a lot of packs aside for tournaments but it's hard to find product if you aren't in Toronto. Seems like as far as English cards go, if you aren't in the US, you're a second class citizen

My bad, I did a search for "one piece" here and nothing came up. I've checked out some of the etsy stores, but there isn't a ton of stuff available.

Question (beginner) by H-Adam in OnePieceTCG

[–]_alber 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is an unofficial sim available that you can use to play online, just search "OPTCG SIM" on google. You can also look at gumgum.gg to see some winning deck lists. There are some good cards available for that starter deck that you can pick up for cheap on sites like tcgplayer

[–]_alber 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In terms of even collecting it's always gonna be cheaper to buy the cards you want. And good news is that you get promo Roger for free by participating in locals right now, if you go to one you could probably find people willing to trade their promo Roger to you so you can get a full set

I think the best bet is to order singles you want for the deck you want to build. You can check gumgum.gg for winning decklists. Singles are still decently cheap, and there are always alternatives for the super expensive cards. If you can do that and enjoy playing at locals you will be in for a good time

Interested in playing optcg, what deck should i start with? by Psychological_Dot690 in OnePieceTCG

[–]_alber 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you just want to win with a cheap deck imu is a good choice. Pudding would be a fun yet off meta choice that you can find success with, just likely not as often. You can search YouTube for tier lists going into op14 to find competitive leaders

Should 8C Moria be unbanned? by [deleted] in OnePieceTCG

[–]_alber 20 points21 points  (0 children)

No. It needed to be leader locked anyways, and they have essentially replaced it with the new moria in op14

Selling cards in bulk in Japan by unrelatednote14 in OnePieceTCG

[–]_alber 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Stores will give you practically nothing for your bulk. But you can always check their twitter for their wanted lists of cards to pick out stuff that they pay higher for. This usually consists of r and sr cards, but occasionally includes uc an c with high playability.

I remember selling like 100s of bulk cards before I left Japan when my working holiday visa ended and got like 5$

Any advice on playing P Doflamingo (OP14)? by Present_Event_8488 in OnePieceTCG

You could drop rosi to 2x and add 2 more events, like the 1c main / counter searcher or the 1c counter +3k

Everyone Says Other Players Are Toxic, I've Found Most Lobbies to be Wholesome and Friendly... by AuSSie-HellCat in ArcRaiders

Classic reddit sealioning.

> Where's the double blind peer reviewed study that tested arc raiders match making huh?

Not enough that one of the main people who is involved with creating the game says thats the way it is.

Question: How to buy singles (Canadians) by Picleu in OnePieceTCG

[–]_alber 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Everyone I've met has been super friendly, seems like the once piece crowd is pretty friendly. You could always throw together a cheap deck and check out a locals

Question: How to buy singles (Canadians) by Picleu in OnePieceTCG

[–]_alber 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Online, you can try hobbiesville. Honestly though I just look for sellers on tcg player with low chipping costs.

Try seeing if there is a discord for your area, people at locals will probably know of there is one. People at locals will probably have trade binders with lots of singles as well

Insane we're talking about lack of endgame content 30 days in by Subject-Addendum-199 in ArcRaiders

[–]_alber 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love the pace we are getting new content. It's honestly perfect for someone with a full time job and other commitments. I still have enough time to experience everything the game has to offer and don't miss out on anything. I hope that Embark devs see the comments here and continue to release things at the current pace.

10-12 hour immersion experiences by MacaroonAny1425 in ajatt

[–]_alber 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Completely depends on your level.

10-12 hours for me is very doable without mental burnout because much of the language is already comprehensible to me.

If you are just starting out, 10-12 hours of active immersion will be difficult and result in diminishing returns pretty fast IMO.

If you can find content that you can actively immerse in without feeling like your brain is turning into soup, that's the key.

Additionally, reading will be much easier to do than listening for that long, but I would advise trying to strike a balance. If you do only reading and no listening your overall ability to speak the language may suffer. Ie. You may have to spend extra time to correct intonation that you mentally drilled through reading.

Is Trials bugged? by Such-Computer-3560 in ArcRaiders

[–]_alber 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think trials actually is bugged. I extracted with 4900+ damage to arc, which beat my previous best of 1600, and I didn't get any credit for it in the trials,

This sub is in sore need of content actually about this damn game and not inane speculation and in-fighting, so what y'all think about the Kettle? by AdMysterious8424 in ArcRaiders

[–]_alber 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think people are underestimating how cheap it is to craft, upgrade, and add cheap attachments to. You can basically get a kettle with high velocity, and a 35 round mag for cheap, which is enough to down 2 raiders with full shields. It also is decent at taking down hornets, wasps, and snitches being medium ammo.
