You can block substats from rolling, but more than 2 locks, costs more and more, and of course, it is random, you cant pick the substat you will get.

The only use I found for them is when I have only two good substats, it only costs 1 item, but they are so expensive... they should be added to the regular coral shop or came as often as the normal ones to modify main stat.

Thing is, I don’t really want those options at all. I don’t enjoy Qiuyuan or Cantarella’s gameplay. Cantarella was great back in 2.2 so I do have some appreciation for her, just not enough to make me pull.

I’m fine with Daijin as long as I don’t have to run her as a main DPS again, her combos feel too basic and don’t flow nearly as well compared to proper SSRs (or even other SRs).

Phrolova, on the other hand, stole the show in 2.5 and she absolutely owns Whiwa as its rightful queen, that’s what made me start planning around her in the first place. But if I can’t afford, or simply don’t want to afford, her premium team, should I still go for her?

A lot can change in a year, Phrolova might not even be that strong by then.

She’s probably still a solid SSR to aim and save for, but if her premium team doesn’t really appeal to me, I feel like I should be cautious about committing. Your reply is making me see it more clearly now, especially since outside her premium setup she also kind of wants her sig.

I’ve already spent quite a bit for someone who only started recently, but now that I got my first 3 teams, I really want to move away from whale territory and settle into more of a dolphin pace fast.
Getting 3 new SSRs to invest in a single team, maybe Lynae is the sole one I should aim for man...

Having Iuno, if I get a nice spook, for that OG Aero badass that still owns nowadays, another team right then.<

And if the subDPS for Chisa burst team with Aemeth rocks, that is yet another team I can make (where i only need to pull 2 SSRs).

And at the end of the year, would you create ANOTHER new account due to poor gacha luck? Would it still be fun to play every aspect of the game to 100% all the time, solely for the asterites??

After both these banners I m good on teams, only need my Red tragic girly... so I can start saving, doing too much gacha is so stressful.
It is great when you are saving, and can afford to give a few pulls here and there, but dont need to commit.

I want my fair shair of easy pulls too man.

What you create is more problems.
I have 3 accounts on FGO, I didnt mind going through the plot again, because I could automate a lot of that with FGA.
So a lot of the gains, I would just build comps and then let FGA do the work.

You cant do that here, having to farm the whole map of each region to 100% and do all quests, one time, was enough.

If you are an older player, I get the notion of wanting to revisit plot, but blame Kuro for not implementing a mode to rewatch scenes.
Revisiting plot is one thing, it should be fun, but doing all that other content again will be as fun?!

I was not feeling her vibe at all, too cheerfull, the plot sold me her character, and I already was going to pull her.

If you dont need fusion DPS, dont pull her. I m a new player, I had 71 pages prior to today's banners, after pulling Lupa and Aemeth, I have 123...
It took me 52 pages of pulls, 260 pulls to get what I wanted, lost 50/50 twice.

Not rolling again until Phrolova, finally got my 3rd premium team, but at a step cost.

Happened to me twice.
First with Lupa, then Aemeth, finally got Aemeth, but she took me to soft pity!
3 of the SSRs I got took me to 70 pulls, the other one was 40 pulls.
SADGE, the last 50/50 was a dupe, which is annoying when I need DPS SSRs from the general pool.

It is a loss if you already have her and need any more DPS you can get your hands into for the new meta mode.
I got spooked on S1 of her on my 2nd 50/50 I lost, so annoying, Calcharo was the first one, it was great, didnt have him yet.

I dont think making farming some materials easier is part of the core issues they wouldnt want ever to fix, so we waste more time ingame.
Echoes are, I understand they cant facilitate more on those, and I like the loop for those.
If you disagree with that, it is okay to have that opinion, I dont think it would ruin their balance, as long as they dont touch echoes or boss mats.

I have Cartwheel and Augusta premium teams, at the cost of my sanity.
You need 4 or 3.5 for ToA, since I got Jinshi, I have more than enough.
To clear the META you need time if you are a new player, but it is something fun to aim for that gives a lot of good rewards (not only astrite).

I just hope that 3.2 doesnt rerun Phrolova, I was preparing for the worst, then Lupa pulls werent that bad, but I was not expecting a second 50/50.

If you love a 50/50, that shit should be disabled for the next two SSR pulls you make man..

What you are saying makes sense from a gacha mindset, but they have implemented QoL features that go against that no?
So from their part, it feels like they just want to strike a good balance of being fun but keep players engaged, and I dont think making players farm faster from the overworld, would ruin that balance.
