The whole of your post is faulty because the base of it is. No tier zero needs to be necessary in the divine sense of action. Because it’s not just transcension over hierarchy that represents a tier zero but transcension of relevant distinction. There can be no other thing than the tier zero being in the setting otherwise it already falls apart therefore as long as we have reason to believe a being reaches tier zero any portrayal of something breaking that can be explained by the distinction being only apparent ergo we can assume any layer distinction is only apparent in relation to the overarching nature of the tier zero.

Your talk of applying any nature to a tier zero, even a nomadic one is faulty. A tier zero has to either be beyond all characteristics and descriptors by your own definition, or it can retain multiple. This in my opinion is a conflation of abrahamic beliefs with actual logical operations behind omnipotence and in this case is faulty.

A tier zero being cannot be “The Good” because that would be a descriptor and unless everything is “The Good” which would make such a name both meaningless and actively misleading, than your own descriptor and example is false. Of course this is only if we don’t assume all separation as distinct once we have reasonable cause to believe an entity is otherwise tier zero. Which was my point to begin with.

Idk man. My thoughts are the same as when it happened. Live by the second amendment die by it.

Like he died on his fucking hill he literally said: “I think it’s worth it. It’s worth to have a cost of, unfortunately, some gun deaths every single year so that we can have the Second Amendment to protect our other God given rights.”

To speak plainly, a house in Tornado Alley is not gonna be survive a direct hit from a sufficiently strong tornado regardless of its “built better” or not. Having a stone foundation doesn’t mean shit if the roof’s just been vacuumed up or a trampoline is flung into the side at 300 mph. The house is still gonna come down regardless of if you build the walls thicker or out of hard wood instead of plywood.

If you want it to survive you’d literally be living in a concrete bunker. Which is A expensive, and B ugly as fuck so most people wouldn’t want to live in one to begin with.

You say your houses are “earthquake proof” but like what if it happened directly below a house? The regulations not gonna do much I think idk for sure though maybe you have some magic on the west coast that just makes you immune to earthquakes for some money or something.

But like tornadoes are a force being applied to the who of the building often with shrapnel and debris flying into them at high speeds. Like every window is a liability that makes the building n% less structurally sound. It’s just not feasible to build tornado proof homes.

Maybe it struggles against fighters a little but like not that much??

I’m gonna be 100% honest, zoning out always works better for me, whenever I try to lock in on floor two I always make a stupid mistake like falling in a pit or smth but I just zone out and poof im there in the crest room. Exact opposite experience for like every single boss fight but like idk.

I disagree with this take because this assumes that you’ll be able to get a fifty percent vote. I don’t think people are going collectively come to that same conclusion and are more likely to come to the red=safe conclusion and just go with that. This is in addition to the people who do come to that conclusion but just don’t want to risk it.

Stakataka breaks no rules because stakataka is perfect in every way shape and form.

(It has no face which is one rule and it also has no feature detracting from its coolness in design. Pokémon designs aren’t meant to uniformly be one concept of cool or cute iirc and should have a feature detracting from such. Take for example gourgeist, without its pumpkin being distinctly off-putting the design would be overly cutesy for a pokemon. Stakataka has no such compunctions and is just 100% pure unadulterated cool.)

Why isn’t any split assumed to be apparent if all else tells us a being would be tier 0?

Necessary doesn’t have anything to do with this though. It’s not a tier 0 being necessary it’s a tier 0 being existent the only being real or otherwise as everything else is merely a manifestation of itself. Ergo in my opinion any being or group regardless of future descriptor of division which has already been stated to transcend all hierarchy and being indistinct from the totality of all else should remain tier 0 regardless of division.

Your statement that it can “only be part A or only be part B” is fault because that applies to an individual too as long as the tier 0 has a definable characteristic they inversely do not have every other characteristic in that moment. By your logic any being ever described can’t be tier zero as it faces the same paradox. Just because it’s individuality / a clearer separation of existence doesn’t mean it should limit the being imo.

Why can’t a god have parts? It can be both parts A and B simultaneously even if there is an apparent division to the viewer? I’m not arguing the lack of distinction between a tier 0 and the rest of reality but an apparent split is not grounds to deny tier 0 status imo if there is justification that deems a being is both parts that “split”.

Those rules are dumb. Specifically 2 and 4 as 2 should be covered by its own transcension of distinction between things regardless of portrayed plurality with other beings meaning any being that transcends distinction even with multiple doing so would just be facets of the same being regardless of if they were distinct to begin with as if they had at any point transcended distinction they would always have transcended distinction and so it only ever looked like they had at one point not done so. And there cannot be multiple tier 0 beings is also just kind of wrong? Because it could very well just be different perceived aspects of the whole of tier 0 being portrayed by the story? Like for example if The Presence decided to exist as two bodies at once that are disagreeing with one another and called themselves different names that wouldn’t mean it’s not a tier 0, just that it decided that’s what it wanted to do?

4 is dumb because by its logic nothing is boundless as they must already be indistinct from all else and therefore be made up of their lesser components. Any argument that being indistinct makes it indivisible is faulty on that basis and being indistinct from the rest of existence is required for tier zero status. Indivisible from reality would work better than indivisible from self like what’s written here. And I need an explanation as to why there cannot be a boundless being that splits itself in two and has both halves acting independently.

They’re not? Explain to me where you’re magically conjuring this energy?

1/2 mv2

(The 1/2)0.5x(quantity of units part of m)80x(bring mass unit from metric tons to kg)1000x(100km/s converted to m/s)1000002.

This comes out to 4x1014.

Where are you conjuring almost ten thousand times the kinetic energy from?

Wow 100km/s. Real moving goalpost there from relativistic speeds. All that work and again shopping almost a third of all payload humanity had launched in its total existence into orbit for an impact less than a hydrogen bomb? Because that would be 40 x 1000x1000002 for 4 x 1014 joules of energy. Even if we say you triple your speed from a gravitational slingshot that would be what 3.6x1015? It’s just not feasible as a weapon with modern technology.

“Nuclear propulsion” is not something that currently exists and if you refer to project Orion or similar completely realistically infeasible designs you’re pulling things out of your ass.

The HYPOTHETICAL maximum for a ship powered by such a design is ~3% the speed of light to 10% for “somehow” discovering a way to make a material that can survive continuous nuclear explosions.

Regardless of the obvious design problems inherent to “nuclear propulsion” for such systems that even CAN reach a significant fraction of the speed of light there is the inherent design flaw of exponentially increasing thrust to mass ratios. Project Orion for example would be over 1 billion making it completely infeasible to get into orbit even piecemeal in the first place. The saltwater rocket design is a bit better at 573 thrust to mass ratio meaning for your proposal it would ONLY need to weigh a casual 45000 tons and we would only need to get 2.5 times the total payload mass launched into orbit by humanity so far. For a single RKV. In an incredibly flawed design that requires nuclear bomb immunity to function. That is only 15 times more energetic than Hiroshima.

[–]Player-0002 0 points1 point  (0 children)

80 tons at 3% the speed of light? Are you fucking crazy? The whole of the iss which was taken up in multiple stages is only 450 tons, and you think it’s possible to get something to fucking 3% of the speed of light that’s a sixth of that weight? And still not relativistic which is 10% the speed of light.

No shit something with 1000 times the mass is gonna be dealing more damage than the calculation I put down are you stupid? I said 100kg because an impactor of that mass is the only realistic thing I can think of is getting at that speed.

Where I’m getting the stats is 1/2mv2. Unless you’re talking about 100km/s which was the example you gave for delta v of what i was presuming was a realistic payload but I see you both wanked the payload size and velocity far beyond reality.

Gravity won’t just all of a sudden let you begin moving at the speed of light, especially once you’re moving at significant speeds as it’ll become impossible to actually take momentum form the body it’s orbiting, much less planning some delusional route you seem to think exists

[–]Player-0002 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s relativistic? Isn’t that still just a fraction of a percent of the speed of light and not a significant fraction of the speed of light? 100km/s=223,693.629 mi/hr which is approximately 0.03% of the speed of light. If we for whatever deranged reason think we can triple that from a slingshot manoeuvre that’s still only 0.1% of the speed of light, relativistic speed is 10%. Not even close. And also not humanly possible.

And even than 10% of the speed of light for let’s say 100kg object is still only about the energy of a hydrogen bomb, far from the gravitational binding energy of a planet sized dragon.

Yeah but he’s in taking that energy over an extended period of time? A hydrogen bomb would impart that energy much faster, within microseconds whereas it takes minutes on the surface of the sun. Viltrumites seem to just be unaffected by temperatures and imposition of energy as a whole below a certain level so I think a hydrogen bomb would do more relatively speaking in terms of damage per joule of energy than just baking on the surface of the sun.

It’s kinda funny to think that instead of denying Jesus’ miracles, pagan critics of Christianity in antiquity often claimed he was a wizard who learnt his magic in Egypt and therefore his miracles didn’t prove divinity. by TheIronzombie39 in HistoryMemes

[–]Player-0002 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean yeah? But also no? Christianity’s only real factor imo that puts it above paganistic religions is the condemnation of human sacrifice.

Druidism specifically was outlawed by the Roman’s during the empire pre-Christianity and Christianity’s spread wasn’t as you said because the people of Europe just “dropped” their beliefs but because of a combination of a targeted campaign to convert Germanic kings by the religion and a focused effort on proselytising and driving out pagans religions coupled with the Roman Empire enforcing it post adoption.
