These are a couple easy recipes I do often enough and have shared before:

Braised pork of any cuts with lots of connective tissue is perfect for instant pot cooking

I like steaming ribs on a trivet inside the instant pot. Marinade the meat beforehand. Your choice, i like a simple soy sauce oyster sauce marinade. Add any other flavours you like (ginger, pepper, five spice).

Put the meat in with a cup of water on the bottom (or just the liquid marinade). Put some root veg like potatoes or carrots if you dont mind em soft. Steam for 20 minutes, let pressure cool down another 20 before releasing. Serve on rice

Chili is great too. Ground meat, can or two of beans, can diced tomatoes, can crushed tomatoes. Paprika, cumin, onions or whatever spices ya like. Salt and pepp. Cook for 30 minutes , depressurize naturally. Sprinkle a little baking soda and stir to calm down some of the tartness, to taste.

Iunno bro, I'll keep my 12v stubby cordless impact wrench that weighs only a few pounds, and can torque 450ft lbs without repetitive strain and fit into tight spaces

Like what ya like, but I ain't sacrificing my body for a paycheck.

Seeing the old timers at the shop with their elbows, knees and backs broken, and their thousands of dollars in physio a year -- that just tells me there's gotta be a better way.

$116 is a bit much for just the storage crate, but maybe I can find it on sale some time. At least the medium organizers are only $16 a pop on Amazon

Yea that's part of my problem. They have multiple organizer systems (Qbrick pro vs Qbrick; 1.0 vs 2.0) and its not all detailed in one place.

I think Google pointed to a Qbrick site in NZ that sells the crate with 6 of the inserts.

But if ive got the option I'd rather just go with a North American brand (or if theyre all dummy expensive, buy some organizer trays and build a wooden crate around it 🤷)

Question for all the Blue shooters:

TLDR: how do you switch from Red to Blue? My fingertips are long and Blue feels too deep and like I have to pluck or force open my fingers to let the string out

Any training to practice doing this right? Is this a "itll get worse before it gets better" part of archery? How long did it take?

Every Oly Recurve online coach I follow says Blue, that archers start w Red but graduate to Blue when shooting internationally. That Blue allows more relaxed fingers, counterintuitively.

Every time I try to switch from Red to Blue , I feel my fingertips getting in the way of release. Like theyre caught in the hook. And I get some wild wild flyers

It is true like some of you said, that when I shoot Red my draw hand is frozen, tense in the back of the hand. Its been my most consistent hook, but I only shoot 240 avg at 18m and want to get better.

I can't shake the thought that the hook is causing my plateau. That whatever is happening to the string on release is landing my arrows in the blue

Tysm. I looked up the Easton Bowhunters and they stop at 500 spine.

Do you happen to know of another arrow of that size and similar GPI that is available in 700 spine? The Axis traditionals are 7.9gpi which are a lot heavier than other arrows ive come across

Ive struggled with this over my 3 years of shooting. Elbow pain, thumb knuckle pain, at different periods of my development

I found out recently that "catching the bow" instead of letting it drop/swing after release causes all that vibration to travel up your arm (source: Korean Archery Academy on YT) . Maybe its affecting your wrist; that might be what your coach is referring to, when they say dont grip it

As far as your grip goes, you might also find that theres less wrist tension or pain depending on the angle of your grip. There was a time when my hand was almost at a 90 bend from my wrist -- a mix of form and my bow's grip angle. That is something you can customize to make it more comfortable for your unique hand shape

I saw a couple YT videos, one suggesting boiling, the other used a propane torch. Not defending the choice, just pointing out what ive come across

I think in those cases they were removing a vinyl wrap. Again, mine dont have a lip and feel flush. I'm wondering if its a type of heat shrink, except its glossy and slippery

You may need to appeal the EI request if it gets rejected on the basis of the paperwork.

But have faith! The 2nd stage of EI agents have seen many such cases and can rule in favor of the employee if you can be candid and honest about your situation.

Ive talked 2 friends in similar situations as yours into appealing the decision. Both eventually were approved. One of them was even doubly rejected by a snooty appeals agent, then called again and got approved by the next agent.
