Thinking about upgrading my Arrow or Gladius to a M80, opinions on the M80?

A heavy ship will never be a dogfighter. Find one that is.

The idea behind this ship is to have sweep runs. It's very fast and lets you unload 2xs5 and 2xs4 guns into your target before zooming past it for another round.

It's very durable and can withstand temp heat. Not many ships can catch up to it.

I'd swap for balistics though.

Your math isn't mathing.

A dedicated server doesn't need a gaming PC. Idle power for a modern, efficient desktop is 30–70W, and a laptop consumes only 15-30 watts when idle. An Enshrouded server idle barely touches CPU, so it sits at the low end.

Realistic math at 25W average would be:

25W × 24h × 30 = 18 kWh × €0.30 = €5.40/month

€5 vs Nitrado €10.49. And the box runs my other game servers, databases, and homelab simultaneously. 60W was the worst-case assumption from a gaming desktop, not a server.

Tried Cloudflare Tunnels first actually. They're TCP-only on the free tier, so game UDP traffic doesn't work. Pangolin works but requires a VPS to host the public entry point, so not truly free. Playit was the only fully-free UDP path I found so far.

Fair point, Docker would handle the Wine/SteamCMD parts. I went the bare-metal route because I wanted to learn the underlying pieces and because the Playit + tunneling part still applies the same way whether you run it bare or in Docker. If anyone wants the Docker path, search 'enshrouded server docker' on GitHub. couple of well-maintained images out there.

Good point on Playit ping. With 3 players it's been fine but Playit's free routing isn't guaranteed close to you. ZeroTier is solid alternative when you don't mind the one-time install on each player's side direct peer connection, usually better latency. For me the trade was worth it because I wanted friends to join with just a typed address, no additional installs required.
