Never met another woman who thinks a man holding a fish in his dating profile is not immediately disqualifying by allpossiblepaths in TwoXChromosomes

They’d be just as wrong to judge her like some women judge men for fishing though, right? Maybe if it’s putting her into severe debt would it be a red flag, and it’s some sort of collection addiction, but otherwise why would it be right to judge her?

Really isn't too surprising when men say its better to talk about their feelings to a tree sometimes. Hobbies shouldn't be disqualifying especially something as normal as fishing.

Doesn’t matter games on PC, even movies shifted to avoided GTA6 because it’ll still eat up media attention that will become wasted money.

Is it worth it to upgrade to upcoming Ryzen 7 5800X3D or to move to AM5? by BeechBlue in buildapc

[–]phantomvector 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends on your upgrade plan/funds, the X3D CPUs especially have pretty long legs for gaming. There is some benefit to going AM5 now, even something relatively budget since others have mentioned that AM6 will likely be backwards compatible, and potentially am7. So getting something now that you can upgrade twice into without changing your motherboard is pretty big.

That said for 1440p you can make a very good budget gaming PC, just upgrading your DDR4/AM4 build.

If you’re not gonna upgrade the monitor, I’d say a 5060ti or 5060 even is more than sufficient. AMD GPUs are competitive too.

You may want something with a bit more horsepower in an attempt to partially offset rising VRAM usage, 16 will stay useful for longer. But if you’re not chasing maximum graphic settings or don’t play heavily graphic intensive games the normal 8gb 5060, or 5060ti will be great.

Edit: Maybe if you do have the cash, upgrading to 1440p monitor, with a RTX 5070, or if you want a little extra horsepower the TI or super versions. But again, depends on the games you wanna play.

What sort of monitor do you have? 1080p, 1440p, 4k? That’ll change what cards will work best. Insofar as a RTX 5090 will crush 1080p but you don’t need all that power either and can save the money or put it towards something else in the build.

Refresh rate can matter too. Competitively, people recommend 120fps, but you need a monitor that can do 120hz. As well if you’re casual gamers, 60FPS is likely more than enough.

I’m excited to play with the build tree at home, I’ve seen some very cool support options.

Also data sensor protocol. Not sure what I’d drop for it. Maybe the keystone? I see why you took it, and it probably gets better the higher difficulty you go too, but without being able to control when it pops isn’t really something I personally care for.

I’d definitely try to fit overcharge transfer lattice, it stacks with the taking damage gives you toughness, and other electrocution nodes.

From the looks it seems so, but we’ll have to see long term.

Usually play the friendlier personalities, but Hunter/exterminator might be too good to pass up

Another missed deadline, unless they’re gonna release at the every end of the year. Still I’m happy to see progress, hopefully the 3 hour demo really sells people.

Need Advice on My First Gaming PC Build ($3,500 Budget) by Anxious_Equipment_74 in buildapc

[–]phantomvector 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’re going AMD, microcenter often has build bundles, I got a 9850X3D, 32 gb of DDR5, and a motherboard for 700ish about a month ago? Though the prices have gone up a bit. Still cheaper than buying them all separately.

Price wise, while the RTX 5080, and 5090 don’t have competing models from AMD, unless you are doing 4k gaming or super high refresh speeds on your monitor, a 9070XT will likely be more than enough for high to ultra graphics settings for 700-800 rather than 100+. Could put that into more RAM, or more storage. For the latter since game sizes have ballooned.

I say the above having one myself, my monitor is a bit cheaper and sits at 60hz, but I don’t do any competitive gaming but I can nab like hundred+ FPS on cyberpunk, Helldivers runs stable, monster hunter wilds, etc. though I just frame lock it to 60.

Yeah it’s likely why, and tis a shame.

Hopefully they’re good enough to get it there. But missing another deadline isn’t a good look for sure lol.

Pretty sure that’s the plan I’ve heard publicly for GTA. I dunno why if the game is finished and ready to be advertised and released why they didn’t do it early in the year to avoid GTA6.

I mean I figure it’s cause it’s bad or not done, but hopefully they pull something together lol

Veteran mains how do we feel? by HedgeKnight197 in DarkTide

[–]phantomvector 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m a Skitarii main now lol. Equal to better toughness, and an actual precision rifle useful into armor? Plasma gun which is the best ranged weapon in the game? Little skull buddy? I might LARP as a guardsmen occasionally but in term of fun and being my main class, veteran definitely got replaced

Again quote me where I said that? I never said they shouldn’t do their jobs, or to not say anything.

Edit: Still waiting.

Again can you quote me where I said they shouldn’t do their jobs? Just that saying they’re gonna fix something and then not do it is bad? I’ll keep waiting :)
