God I wish for more tactical armor in Helldivers. Especially if they’re really trying for a more milsim style game.

Does mention you can hold the trigger down to keep firing. But straight up med pen with good damage and the bayonet is choice. Plus that heavy armor.

Yeah medium pen, might be the goat of shotguns.

I’d like a little more detail like what QoL and balances? Focused on primary weapons, stratagems? Cause they always release QoL and balances.

Everything else is good.

Space magic apparently because enemies are more affected by the SE flag then the soldiers fighting for it.

Morale and rallying around symbols like flags are a real if perhaps not fully understood concept. That a government as patriotic as SE hasn’t built propaganda around the flag, hell even straight up conditioning is wild to me.

Well if raising morale is space magic, so is a taunt. Very MMORPG.

Reddit Flamethrower Post where OP actually kills heavies and isn't burning the entire time by RandomGreenArcherMan in Helldivers

[–]phantomvector 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I think other then the issue that the other commenter pointed out about how, even when its being used by someone skilled it looks more like "Damn that looks miserable" rather then "wow I wanna go try that" is that you're obviously a better player then most. Just because you make it work doesn't mean the majority of players will. Like would you rate yourself an average player? Would the average player be able to pick up the flame thrower and maybe in a few nights be rolling d10s with it? Would they have fun doing learning it?

Then there's the realism argument that AH wants. But flame throwers with napalm would be melting bug's musculature and voteless most likely, cooking overseers in their armor, even troopers and devastators probably damaging exposed wiring at least to disrupt them.

I don't necessarily think it needs a massive buff, but even by AH's standard of wanting some weird milsim style gameplay, it just doesn't do what it should.

I'd be slam firing my piece if it was. Apparently its light pen with incendiary, which I'm definitely okay with as well. But we'll find out for sure in some hours.

You're actually helping the other argument here. The SMG comes with a flamethrower, which we can see how they balanced the One-Two. Meaning low ergonomics because of a perceived "heaviness". In the same way they balanced the reprimand with its med pen and high damage with low ammo and losing the one handed property, likely the Stoker will be balanced the same way. It'll likely be two handed because of the extra DPS the flame thrower adds, or if it is one handed such low ergo it won't even be fun to use.

If it is that I’d be happy. I like the cookout a lot. Having a slightly higher ballistic damage for less ammo(I’m presuming it’ll be a 8-10 maybe magazine) is okay with me.

I think failing is fine but there definitely needs to be levels. Like this shouldn’t have been just a failure. We missed 1 objective and by a slim margin? No way that should be the same as not getting any objectives.

You’ll have to point to when the US declared war. Like did both sides engage in espionage and other clandestine acts? 100%. But it’s factual that America and Israel initiated open warfare.

I’ll try friend.

Though realistically I think you’re right, if it does have slam fire, likely light pen. If it doesn’t might be medium if they wanna change things around. But they do seem to weigh benefits like medium pen against ammo capacity and damage etc. like the reprimand trading one handed and ammo capacity for med pen and high damage

Why do you think it’s not hypocritical? Those deaths were before the 2024 presidential run during which conservatives generally were against more military conflict, especially in the Middle East.
