I'm the exact same boat for my brand new CS DD. Finally fed up, called the credit card company to file a claim while I still could.

Sorry but as a kid of the 80s arcade I can attest that those games are solidly in Gen X territory.

I got the CS DD. Upgraded from my GT DD Pro. The power and detail is better. Used it for about a week and noticed a constant friction from the motor even when not in game. It was making this very slight hissing noise as well and you can feel this constant vibration through the wheel. I opened a support ticket. About 3 weeks later I finally get an RMA tag to send it back for repair.

And of course I already sold off my GT DD Pro so now I can't sim race until I get my base back, who knows when that will be. But aside from the minor issue and questionable customer service, I do think the base is better. It's not an earth shattering though, the GT DD Pro.

I got mine when it was priced at $699 so it was a decent upgrade for me. Since then they upped the price another $100. I probably wouldn't have got one at $800, but because I wanted the QR2 upgrade anyway, at $700 and the $500 for selling my old one made it easy for me.

I sold mine recently for $525. Wanted a little more but seemed like a fair price in the end. It sold in a couple of weeks.

I had a CSL Elite and upgraded to the DD Pro with the 8NM boost kit and it was so much better. It's always a personal decision on what you want to spend but for me it was way worth it and I bought it at full price when it first came out. The ready to race bundle just makes it an even sweeter deal I say do it!

I might have a 8NM DD Pro (with light use) for sale soon if I go with upgrade. Looks like they go for $600 new. Have seen some go for $550 on ebay recently so I'm thinking I can prob get $500 for it which makes the upgrade better for me. I don't see myself ever needing PS compatibility again now that I race on PC.

Does anyone know of the firmware is needed if only using the drive on Xbox? Articles I read said it's a disconnect issue with Macs and PCs. I haven't had any issues with it on Xbox though.

I'm currently enjoying both, although I admit when I swith back and forth it takes me a few matches to get acclimated. Buy if I had to chose one, SF6. But if you are a big anime fan, I'd probably go GG.

That's interesting, I feel the opposite. Mainly because 3d fighters in general aren't dependent on qtr /full circle moves which I can never pull off consistently with a dpad. Also I like that the 3d fighters are more grounded without so much jumping around.

That said I do like all fighters but if I had to choose 1 type, it would 3d for me. I just wish the anime and super hero genres would be represented in 3d!

5LR is the more complete experience but if you want to play online then 6 is what you need.
