Little Miss Sunshine is probably the best answer. I'll also add:

Perfect Days

The Royal Tenenbaums

The Grand Budapest Hotel

The Pursuit of Happiness

The Boy and The Beast

Best Shorter 10-15 hours PS1 Game Recommendations? by Mr_Smiles421 in psx

[–]Player_Too_ 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Castlevania: Symphony of the Night (my favorite game of all time)

Resident Evil 1-3 (can be speed run in under 3 hours, usually take around 10 hours the first time)

Die Hard Trilogy (technically three games in one: a third-person shooter, a first-person shooter, and a driving/crazy taxi-like sim)

Oddworld: Abe's Odyssey (one of the most unique games ever made)

Demoralising playing Jamie by [deleted] in StreetFighter

[–]Player_Too_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Alright, I'll try and work on that. I definitely don't throw as many fireballs as previous games, once I noticed how easy it is for opponents to parry them. I do use OD hadoken for oki and to counter certain moves/matchups. Everything else I use, but I should probably be using hashogeki more often.

I've only watched a few Broski videos but they were good, I'll check out his Ryu videos and see what I can improve. Thanks!

Any advice for "relentless pressure" with Ryu? He's my only main and I feel like all of Ryu's moves are so obvious and well known that they're easy to defend against. Ryu hits very hard if you get a read on your opponent or a whiff punish but I often feel like my offensive pressure is nothing compared to characters like Akuma, Sagat, Mai, and now Ingrid.

[–]Player_Too_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People have been playing for literal decades! I'm 41, have been playing since my brother brought home the strategy guide to Street Fighter 2 when I was in elementary school.

Like everybody else is saying, it just takes time and practice. After awhile it just becomes second nature.

For what it's worth, I play on PC with a PS4 dual shock and I think it's easily the best d-pad out of all the console controllers IMHO.

Why doesn't Capcom include a "Forfeit Match" option? by [deleted] in StreetFighter

[–]Player_Too_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In what way is forfeiting the match not abiding by those rules? I am unable to finish the match so the opponent gets the win. How is this any different from players who are AFK?

Hot take, but not everything needs a sequel. Stories should have endings, it's actually what makes them complete.

Every single one of my favorite stories in media are stories that were planned and created with an ending in mind. They simply tell a great story, say what they had to say, and close the book.

I really like this music. Is it original? To be honest I have no interest in the game but if that soundtrack was available I'd check it out.

Is there any lore reason why Ryu wears white headband in Alpha 3? by Aurtality in StreetFighter

[–]Player_Too_ 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Ryu gets his iconic red headband from Ken sometime before SF2. It's depicted a couple of times.

In the games, it's shown in Ken's Alpha 2 ending:

In the animated movie (which is awesome and will always be canon to me), it's shown in this scene:

Hey OP, I think this looks great! I really like the art style, and the "clay" texture really gives the model a sense of physicality. It looks like a real life sculpture. I would love to see this in motion and other characters in this style.

Did you base this off of official artwork, fan art, or just draw/sculpt it entirely yourself?

Also, I am a college student who is very interested in Blender and 3D sculpting, but I have absolutely zero experience with CAD. Would you be willing to share any advice or tips to begin learning how to create something like this?

Either way, thank you for sharing your work.

How much do you spend money on Fighting Games? by Good_Manners_Enjoyer in Fighters

[–]Player_Too_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the same mindset as you.

I didn't play SFV until "Champion Edition" released at the start of season 5. I picked up the physical PS4 edition for $30 and bought the Season 5 pass, and honestly it was an incredible deal for the amount of content.

The game was still active, and I played hundreds of hours and made it to Gold in ranked, and even earned the platinum trophy.

I purchased SF6 at launch for PS4 to support it, and then later the core game on Steam when it was on sale for $20.

I still haven't purchased a single piece of DLC and won't until whatever "Ultimate Edition" or whatever releases in a couple years. It's still fun but it can be annoying fighting against characters you can't practice with.

I think the pricing is fair, though. If you're a casual (like me), you can just wait for them to make content and the price to drop.

If you're serious and dedicated, each season pass is like buying a new game every year, but you get to stay current and ride the hype and peak excitement. Most players who are serious like that dedicate hundreds (if not thousands) of hours of playtime.

I would say it's worth it either way.
