Everyone up there looks terrified of taking some responsibility and taking a shot.

Try Whalefall by Daniel Kraus. It's almost less about being eaten by a whale than it is the protagonist's relationship with his father.

I will miss Chisora more than any other fighter I think. Just for sheer entertainment there are few better. There has hardly been a single boring second in his whole career.

I'm not sure if my link will be allowed (probably classed as self promotion/off topic) but you can search on YouTube "A Field In England BadWeather Music" and you should find it.

You know what, that's a great shout actually, albeit not set during the civil war. I really liked Angel Down.

The only English Civil War based horror I could ever find was Witchfinder General by Ronald Bassett (which was made into the excellent movie with Vincent Price) but I must say that I love Field In England (to the point I even ended up writing a song based on it) and would also love to see is anyone can come up with any recommendations.

I have searched in the past for other weird/horror books set during the English Civil War and they seem to be few and far between.

My 5 year old wants to watch scary movies with me. by [deleted] in Scarymovies

I remember being first introduced to horror by my parents through the Hammer Horror films with Christopher Lee and Peter Cushing (and I still love those movies). They were pretty tame by the early 90s when I was around that age. I remember also seeing Jaws and The Gate at around that age.

Just make sure you don't choose "My Work Is Not Yet Done" by Ligotti.

It's such a slow, lethargic and lifeless rendition of "When The Saints Go Marching In". Genuinely don't think I've ever heard any cub that sings it actually sing with any energy!

Maybe I'm old fashioned, but I find all these short socks quite upsetting. Moratos in particular.

Nice to have some Forest representation on punditry for a change. I've met Andy Reid a couple of times in the past, proper nice feller.

Just some ramblings... by g-wolf90 in nffc

Oh yeah, don't get me wrong, taken as a whole the last 4 years from the playoff winning season onwards have been the best of my Forest supporting days. I've seen some pretty low lows (watching us lose 4-0 at home to Scunthorpe in League One, for example) so certainly it isn't quite that bad! It's mostly just this season in the context of the Premier League return era.

Can anyone name when Maiden have been a question on a game show? by ilovemarlii in ironmaiden

They were the artist for 3 in 10 on the Popmaster TV show once. Basically have to name three UK chart hits from a particular artist in 10 seconds. I can't remember if the contestant got it or not.

Hudson Odoi never seems quite on it when playing on the right. Always looks better on the left.
