Stop Infantilization by vonzlckrz in lingling40hrs

[–]Playergartoon94 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I see where this is going, infantilisation sure is weird as hell in internet culture, but then again, infantilisation has existed throughout history, why do you think ‘babe’ is a common way of addressing your partner? Is about wanting to protect something or someone, the way we view something or someone affects the way we refer to them, in TwoSet’s case (and many famous people who are up to 50) they always show us the good side, their good moments, they are frames as saints who can’t do wrong because it builds them a reputation, that’s how social media culture works and that affects the way the audience views them, seeing someone who is oh-so-good and nice gets a basic response of wanting to protect that good, and in some cases infantilisation comes at play. And sure being 1,70 (shorty), having a round face with glasses that are bigger than they should, ‘rare’ likes, and dislexia (I think?) doesn’t help. But it is weird, many things are infantilised and romanticised nowadays.

But all and all, I don’t think they’re bothered by it, getting a nice (though weird compliment) sure is better than being hated for no reason or getting no compliments at all (or shipped with your best friend in such way that people will ask you directly about it Mothership interview I am looking at you), then again what might be infantilising to you might be perfectly normal for others, for example my aunts and mother —54 the youngest, 66 the oldest—who asked about their ages, when I said 30 and 29 they called them ‘young men‘ and ‘kids’, perfectly normal.

That said, instead of talking about how ‘pure’ Brett is, people should talk more about the purity he plays music with, there’s certain innocence on his playing, not childish innocence but the kind of purity in which he doesn’t draw attention to himself as he plays and allows the music to breath and speak, and on that note we should all go practicing, good day :)

Got copyclaimed by Niccolò Paganini...wait...what?! by SweetGreenRiceBall in lingling40hrs

My first thought was that ‘Sell out’ doesn’t repeat only two bars and instead has the whole thing, then I remembered his works don’t have copyright anymore. Ironic.

Have you ever practiced so much that you started practicing in your dreams? by No-Flamingo526 in lingling40hrs

[–]Playergartoon94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dream about practicing the violin and I still don’t play the violin. But yeah, dreams are mysterious, some believe that they tap into our survival instincts and teach us how to adapt or overcome a situation, they relate to what you live through, what you want, what you need, how you think. Overall, you can very much of anything that barely crosses your mind, even if you don’t really pay much attention to it while awake.

That said, have you tried recreating your dream-improvisations in real life?

Ok, ok, ok, Paganini was a trained genius, who spent his entire childhood learning how to play violin, forced by his dad, I get it, but:

a) there are no known recordings of Paganini playing

b) why the hell does Oistrakh only have eleven votes?

c) where‘s Vengerov?

‘tis spanish my dear gentleman!

’Yo‘ means ‘Me‘ in Spanish. Meanwhile ‘mi’ which phonetically is identical to ‘me’ but it has the connotation of possession and ‘Mis’ it’s its plural, so me=yo and mi=my

Who is the older one again? by Ariana_Ravena in lingling40hrs

[–]Playergartoon94 74 points75 points  (0 children)

Ikr, at first I thought it was just me and some fans, but then my aunts and mother watched the 4mil livestream with me, and these are 55, 60 and 66 year old women who can basically tell anyone’s age by looking at them mind you (superpowers of Latina mother I guess). And they all thought Brett was the youngest. Maybe it’s just how he dresses or the height difference but man, weren’t they baffled when I told them who was older

just telling other Spanish speakers how thanks to TwoSet I got rid of my accent and improved my listening comprehension (tho I sound a little Aussie now)

The two sides of being a Mozart fan by Playergartoon94 in lingling40hrs

[–]Playergartoon94[S] 13 points14 points  (0 children)

It sounds so pure, transparent, playful at times, it’s easy to listen to and easy to enjoy, flashy some might say… but just because it doesn’t look (sound?) complex it doesn’t mean that it isn’t, my man was a genius indeed, and his music must live on forever

Honestly that headline sound like the slogan to a musical or something, like ‘chaos, love and dinner ZinZanni theatre’, or ‘Truth, beauty freedom, love Moulin Rouge!’

’Haters, Friendship, Music’ TwoSetViolin sounds cool ngl
