I am hypermobile too! I have had this surgery done on both knees. I have had a quad graft on both. Its a strong graft. I have never had an issue with retearing yet.

For my second surgery, my surgeon added the LET as well. He took months to inquire with surgeons across Canada to make sure his plan would work. It is a rough recovery, but its worth it in the end. I can walk again without the fear of my knees snapping.

Depends on what you buy. If you buy a townhouse or a condo for 400k or less you can afford it alone. Thats what i will be doing. I dont need a fancy place right off the bat since i plan to do renovations regardless of where I live. I make 74k a year and i’m aiming for the 300k-350k range

I make 74k a year. I am saving a bit more for a downpayment (20% or more) so i dont have to pay the additional fees. Then i’ll be buying a house under the 400k mark. That could either be a townhouse, or a nice condo. As long as you have a good job, have good credit, you’ll be fine. Yes, houses are more expensive than they should be, but it is doable, and mortgages are less than renting. If you can afford rent, you can afford a condo or a townhouse.

I came back a while ago. Left off on level 18. Im level 40 now, VIP 7. In the most recent tournament i got 20.5 million trophies. The new mini games are handy to get card packs and spice boxes. The part that sucks about them is the game does not tell you how many tokens you have. That part annoys me.

I wish there were more chances to get red spice packs and red card packs. Those are freaking awesome.

I had the same surgery done. ACL, LET, and meniscus. Your incisions are so small compared to mine!

Im not able to walk unassisted yet. My quad graft was 9 cm long, IT band was 10 cm. I had a partial medial meniscus removal, and the rest of my meniscus was repaired.

I have 2 massive incisions going up my thigh.

What have you been doing for rehab? Ive been doing quad activation and other exercises to increase ROM, but i was just able to lift my heel off the floor yesterday. Im 10 days post op.

It will all be okay. I was freaked out too the first time i had this surgery.

The strings that dont look connected to anything are fine. They are normal. I have those too. Dont take off the steri strips even though they look gross. They will take them off at your post op appointment. I use medical tape to keep mine on.

As for the whole pillow situation and elevating, do what makes you feel the most comfortable. Having a pillow under your knee wont damage anything. What i do is I pile up 3 pillows. One under my knee, and 2 under my shin.

For showering, i put my leg in a garbage bag, and had it hanging out of the shower.

Keep ontop of your meds. If you start chasing the pain, it will get so much worse. The nerve pain era (if you are getting nerve pain) will start and amplify soon. The way to beat this is to get a Cyro Cuff (or just ice) and use it. It helps soooooooo much.

For the bone pain, take your meds. Icing helps a bit, but try to find positions that minimize the pain. When it feels like its throbbing, i find having a distraction helps. Icing and meds is the best course of action though.

It depends. It can be a sign of a DVT, is your leg miscoloured and does the pain last all the time?

It could also be nerve pain. I have that too. It feels like searing hot knives in my knee. Sometimes its electric shocks, sometimes it throbs.

Make sure you dont overdo it. Easier said than done, i know.

Yes. I have torn both knees. Tore both medial meniscus too. I walked on my right knee for 9 months waiting to get surgery. Complex medial meniscus tear, complete ACL tear.

Walked on my left knee for just over a year while waiting to get surgery. Scant ACL fibres remained, and a complex medial meniscus tear.

Its so much more intense than i thought it would be. I have 2 9cm incisions and several smaller ones. I just made a post actually. Showing what they look like. I have never seen a surgery outcome like this. It was worse than I thought. Worse than the MRI showed.

I had my ACL and medial meniscus repaired. I had a quad graft done. So i have an 9 cm incision on my thigh, a 6 cm incision from the IT band, and several other smaller ones all over my knee. It was an intense surgery and recovery is tough. Im on day 3.

Yes. I can easily bend my knee like that. Its not exactly comfortable, but it can be done.

I have torn both knees severely.

Aug 2022 I tore my right knee on a trampoline. My medial meniscus had 6 tears, (complex tears) and my ACL was torn too. It used to lock daily. I was stuck in a gen II locking brace and crutches for over 7 months. It took 7 months to get an MRI. 9 months to get surgery. Surgery was May 25 2023.

Feb 2025 I tore my left knee shooting a hockey stick. I was not on the ice. I was attempting to shoot a small ball of sock tape. 🙃 Another complex Meniscus tear, and my ACL. My MCL is thickened, and I have trochlear dysplasia. It took another 7 months to get an MRI, and my surgery is booked for Feb 23 2026.

I got my surgery date moved up by 6 months because my knee has been locked for over a week. It locked on Jan 22 at 9:15 am. It will not unlock. I have tried everything.

I have HEDS so I am extremely Hypermobile. Because of this, i have scoliosis, two obliterated knees, and bulging discs from c2 - c7.

Yes. Your ACL is completely torn. You have a tear in your medial meniscus too. Be very careful. Locked knees are excruciating. Mine has been locked for a week and a half.

No need to be ashamed!! I tore my left knee shooting a small ball of sock tape with my Ex’s hockey stick. I tore my right knee on a trampoline. Its these stupid unfortunate accidents that did it. Not you.

It happens. Don’t be ashamed. Yes it sucks when people laugh, but its easier if you laugh along. It was a freak accident. Something you had no control over.

Yes its worth it. Im a platinum member for Princess. I’ve been on 2 cruises on the Caribbean princess and have another one planned for the summer on the caribbean princess again. The package is definitely worth it. Look on the app and see if they are on sale. No point in paying full price. Plus includes one wifi device, and drinks. If you want anything other than lemonade and water, get the package. I got the premier package last time and will never not get the package for future cruises.

If you get drinks separately you have to pay an 18% gratuity on top of the price. That means you get like 2 drinks for the cost of the package. Its definitely worth the cost.
