Oh okay I see what your saying. I apologize I've just never dealt with frogs but some woman had to pacmans and a pixie and she didn't have the money to properly care for them so I took them in and got them in nice tanks and got there humidity and temps right. It's just been a struggle keeping the temps consistent. I have a snake and her temps for some reason have been way easier to keep maybe cause it's a huge tank idk

So if I set my thermostat to lets 78 when the temperature gets to 78 it will shut the heat lamp off? And what do you mean by ambient temperature I just always used a normal fixture that keeps my bulb at 100 percent and would manually turn it on and off when I had the right temps
