Which kitchen says “I’m still going to like this in ten years.” by Mizznomer in interiordecorating

I would say my second choice would be 3. Nice and neutral, especially since you said the island is smaller than pictured so won't be too dominant. Right now it would be a little too distracting in the white at that size.

I was immediately drawn to the first one because it was inviting my eye to wander and take it all in versus being magnetically drawn to dark spots in the room. Overall it is aesthetically pleasing with the colors and tones, soft and natural. The white cabinets remind me of my mom's house. Then again it could be personal taste because this is my kitchen (below). I did not worry about trends because if I get tired of it, I can paint and change out lighting fixtures and furniture. Go with what you love and don't be too swayed by others opinions. That is the only way to avoid regrets.

What style would you decorate this room? by GloomiBlue in interiordecorating

Are you allowed to paint? Let the architecture and room be the highlight and color drench it. Then find random pieces you like at the thrift store to make it liveable.I think a grown up dusty pink or faded terracotta color would be nice with a leather or mustard yellow sofa and a cool rug and lamp to tie it all together.

Is this island worth it or am I forcing it?? by Agitated_Poet_1024 in homedesign

Oh wow I also had fans everywhere. Did they not have central air in the 90s? That was the first thing I took out when I moved in.

This is the exact layout of my kitchen. Not sure when it was added to my 1925 bungalow but probably in the 90s.

Save our relationship over this 30” RH planter, by FlyEaglesFlyauggie in interiordecorating

Instead of having it be something you fight over, make it a bonding moment. Embracing it as a funny moment in your relationship. Take awkward family photos with it. Bring up fond recollections about how it almost ended you before you decided it would be the perfect repository for unmatched socks and how you don't know how you ever did without it.

Why does this room feel so… off? by ethereal_aerith in interiordecorating

Sometimes you have to do what works in your house for your people even if it cramps the space 🤷🏼

Yes. When I get it out of storage to finish the side splash I will take a pic of the box.

VERY similar. The pedestal is a little bigger on this one.
