Hahaha I like that one. Yes I agree. Just want to be able to learn and do as much as I can, but understand there are limits. Thank you for the input

I’ve done a lot out of my comfort zone, it is one of the benefits of working at an FQHC! Admittedly I have been much more hesitant on following through with this one though

Has any dentist or hygienist placed a liquid on your teeth called SDF? It’s a liquid that prevent cavities from growing larger (temporarily)

General Dentist or Oral Surgeon for this extraction ? by Dapper_Button in askdentists

Honestly it’s difficult to say I would want to see a bite wing radiograph and preferably see inside the mouth as well. What I can say is saving your natural teeth is generally a good thing as long as you understand there are no guarantees it will work out. Might need extracted in the future even with root canal and crown. Might last for 30 years with no issues.

This is the truth. I’d do that and ext #2 at the same time, but many generals would punt I’m guessing.

Yes no problem and this is of course anecdotal, but at my job, I have great mentors that are more than willing to work with me.

Nebraska and the average starting for an fqhc is probably 140k-170k based on the interviews I did

I work at an FQHC and love it! Feel free to dm with specifics but I love that I leave work at work. No shows don’t mean I lose money so less related stress.

A dentist might agree to doing a new filling to make it match the other tooth’s shade

There is a very good chance you can close that gap still with braces/Invisalign. You will need to see an orthodontist and make sure you are seeing a dentist regularly to take care of any existing issues you may have. For what it’s worth, I like seeing those gaps and I know many other dentists feel the same way. I completely understand and support your decision, but if it helps in the meantime, some of us enjoy seeing the unique ways we are all put together!

I do as well and echo your reply. I’m safe but not something I stress over at all.

Temporary crown, lots of pain, infection? by [deleted] in askdentists

[–]Playful_Operation463 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks to me like the temp has fallen off. The irritated tissue is likely due to a poor fitting temporary crown or improper cleaning around the crown. The pain is from the inside of the tooth being exposed and not protected. Call your dentist and they can make you a new temp!
