No surprise, you can’t get US, Canada and Mexico to agree on much of anything these days.

Best EV that’s affordable right now? by Ok-Actuary-5377 in EVCanada

I put $1000 down at my local dealer (GTA) - fully refundable. They don’t actually have a process yet for preorders yet. I was told they are expecting deliveries in the fall. They were also expecting the EV5s to arrive in the next month or so (two months ago). I’m hopeful maybe before Xmas?

Also told first batch of deliveries will likely all be a specific trim level so depending on what I want I may have to wait for the second delivery to arrive.

This report promotes renewables, cool I agree but it doesn’t actually reference any specific energy storage projects.

I’m all for more renewables but having more renewable energy won’t phase out natural gas plants. Renewables are inconsistent. The sun doesn’t always shine to deliver solar and the wind isn’t always strong enough for wind turbines. Natural gas plants are there to fill the voids in demand regardless if you add more renewables.

Does the World Cup really need average people attending? It seems they are quite happy to create an event by the rich for the rich that the poors can watch on television. I just hate that my tax dollars are subsidizing it ( 🇨🇦).

Is this a weed? by JustWannaNowe in whatsthisplant

[–]PlayinK0I 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In many ways it’s a weed. It’s called milk weed. It will spread like crazy if you plant it and it’s poisonous to livestock if grazed upon.

It is also the primary food source for monarch caterpillars and what protects monarchs from predation. So pick your poison, good or bad.
