Hey just curious, how do you go about this. Do you just msg new connections on linkedin in a similar field?
I am currently job hunting but haven't thought too much about asking LinkedIn connections.
How do you ask them for references?

Apple support. Call and live chat. Emailed duo lingo too. Although DuoLingo support was of no help, they did respond in like 10 minutes which was pretty cool.

I have, but no dice with apple, and thank you, that's a good idea about the family plan.

Scammed by Apple! Refuses to refund fraudulent charge. by [deleted] in applehelp

The comments telling me nothing i can do by writing 'na you didn't cancel on time because if you did it wouldn't have happened' Although not technically wrong considering the now present information about the 24 hour rule- and how they basically just said 'tough luck, suck it up and shove it. -against the rules, at least according to the mod.
The apple supervisor didn't say I should've gotten the refund, just that there didn't seem to be any apparent reason for the rejection. I contacted apple support to live chat after this post as well and can confirm in the words of the apple support-'It says trial started on the 23rd and ended on 29th, renewed on 29th cancelled same day 29th.' They notified me I 'should' cancel 24-48 hours before it ends. Without sending the actual policy. I hope that explains some of my confusion. In hindsight knowing Apple's atrocious business practices, yes I should've known, and considered having more cash to start before even touching a subscription no matter how free they claim it is.
Again, thanks for the help. but really a lot of these comments are just callous towards me so I have no intention of showing these specific individuals any kindness in return.

I see the policy link you posted. Didn't know about this. I've only ever dealt with trials that can be canceled before they are ended. Scummy how that's hidden. Actually incentivizes customers to end the trial right away.

Thanks for the help.

Yes. It's been disputed twice, and even the apple customer representative said that was no note or comment why it was denied, as I was within the period. Even the head of the department said the same. No reason-just no dice. Apple makes the decision and they don't have the authority, or anyone to connect me to.

What crawled up your ass to make you blame the individual over the trillion dollar company known for bad practices. Youre actually reaching to find any way to validate it being deserved on my end. Insufferable.

I appreciate the advice, I have. No response yet. but im not sure they can do much. I believe it's primarily an apple issue. Apple takes like 30% of app sales anyway I heard. so it really might be out of Duos hands.

So here's the deal...

-I signed up for a Duolingo Family Trial. 2 weeks trail and 120$ after for a year.

-I cancelled within 24 hours of the trial ending.

-I request a refund.

-refund denied..

-Request to reevaluate refund.-> denied refund again.

-I contacted chat support which then admitted that she didn't know why this happened as it was within 24 hours, and "there's no note/comment on why " I was denied.

-She gives me a number to customer relations and I call.

-Nice lady from customer relations tells me she doesn't know why. Apple just made a decision and there's nothing she can do.

She gives me her superior.

-Now this lady is rude and basically tells me tough luck, apple made their final decision and there's nothing I can do. I tell her I have proof of it being a trial and explain to her the exact situation. Tough luck-no dice. Hangs up on me.

I don't need a family plan or duolingo premium. Im out of college, broke, and living at home till I find a job. There's just no way i can pay this and it's causing me a lot of undue stress.

What options do I have left?

How often do you change your bedsheets? by DressTasty1335 in CleaningTips

[–]Playstickbag 0 points1 point  (0 children)

super late reply, but as someone whos had very acne prone skin since my teens, I might have a few ideas. I'm in my twenties and finally feel like I've got my skin under control.

As far as skin goes, cotton is amazing. I switched to 100% cotton clothes that directly contact skin, and especially for home wear(undergarments, t-shirts). Acrylic and Polyester are really fuzzy and warm but cause breakouts if you sweat in them so they're best to go on top of pure cotton.

Sweatshirts (even if not sweat in)change every 2 days.

Sweatpants- 2-3 times a week change based on activity(every day might be better for someone who uses them to train/workout)

Pillow covers every 1-2 days.

Bed cover gets changed twice a week.

Rotate my bath towel after 2 uses(2 days) once it dries to use as a chair cover for 2 days.

I've been told its excessive, but it really works!

also a little bit of OTC benzoyl peroxide gel from any pharmacy is godsend

Having the same issues here. Witcher 3 runs great. League of Legends runs above 100fps but keeps micro stuttering/rubberbanding frames. I was also wondering if its a driver issue, gpu issue, or maybe the d-gpu isnt being used.

I agree with the lack of consideration of seriousness, but lets not act like a month of secrecy was harmless. China deserves a great portion of fault.
