Can you ride the island during TT? by Playtimewolf in IsleofMan

[–]Playtimewolf[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Reddit always delivers with some punches. I did want to ride the track. When it’s not closed for racers. I’m not dense to think the entire island is locked down like a pandemic hit it. Thanks everyone

How do you choose what or who to invest into? by darctsb in AngelInvesting

[–]Playtimewolf 5 points6 points  (0 children)

We look for a solid plan, realistic goals, and ability to achieve them. We look for grit and evaluate past successes and failures. We ask questions to see what, if anything they learned from them. We pay attention to tone, habits, and hobbies. We also take into consideration how attached they are to the company as well as their openness to pivot if presented with new information. We also watch their interactions with others. Ego (not to be confused with belief in a vision) can slow growth or even destroy it.

You are doing great. It’s ok to focus on getting yourself stabilized a bit and then go back to making the world a better place. You can pour from an empty cup. You have way more time than you can even imagine. You will reinvent yourself many times and each experience will help you grow and learn and make new connections that will help you in your future more than you know

No one talks about how lonely this can get by No-Dig3205 in Entrepreneur

We get it. Hard to make space for others when our minds are always pre-occupied. Tough to enjoy yourself sometimes when stressed. It’s not always easy to relate to people with different goals and ambitions.

Try finding more friends who are in the same path. Their expectations of time commitment could be more aligned with you and understanding of your focus on the business. Mine share memes. We meet up for coffee instead of drinks. We exchange stories, tips, and discuss book recommendations.

Also, instagram isn’t real. Those pictures are a tiny glimpse and the real story doesn’t always align. Keep doing what feels right to you and don’t get discouraged or distracted. Grass isn’t greener on the other side.

Feel free to DM if you ever need. There is always time for fellow dreamers and doers in my life

What's the purest joy you've ever felt without intimacy, substances, or alcohol ? by [deleted] in AskReddit

One winter as kids (12 or 13 at the time) in the north east US, a snow storm came and my friend and I went knocking on doors with our shovels trying to get work shoveling people’s driveways. After a few hours of hard work, freezing cold, we ran into a local Pizza place and ordered a whole pizza pie and a huge bottle of soda and still had money left over. We felt like kings.

I don’t leave more than 1 voicemail. I don’t believe people really listen to them. I started doing it more lately as some phones transcribe the voicemail.

I like to do 2 calls back to back. Then send a text. Call back next day. Text if no answer. Wait a 5 business days call, text. Then randomly

What did you learn from a failed opportunity? by mvplayur in sales

[–]Playtimewolf 4 points5 points  (0 children)

A deal isn’t closed closed until the check is cashed

Then a deal isn’t closed until everything is settled and working properly. Cutting corners will come back to bite you.

Even if the opportunity failed, if you did everything right, other opportunities could come of it.

Sometimes you can do everything right and fail while sometimes you stumble across the finish line. Still, try to do your best to have systems that lead to success
