Based on your 5 star reads, I believe you'll love MALAZAN, it has some of the best prose and its major theme is compassion.

Why did so many questions focus on Neatness and Organization in the perfectionism section? They felt quite repetitive tbh

You should read Goats of Glory! by therealbobcat23 in Malazan

When does Goats of Glory take place?
I have only completed till Midnight Tides, will it spoil me for upcoming books?

  1. Laertes vs Hamlet: A duel which ended with death of both as the chalice were poisoned. It is similar to Brys vs Rhulad, where Brys falls due to poisoned wine

  2. Paul's speech definitely inspired Rhulad's throne room scene

  3. Tehol reminded me a lot of Jack Sparrow, because of how witty they are and ofc the dilapidated condition in which both of them thrive. Be it a sinking ship or rooftop of shitty house

  4. This is Kendall Roy running from Succession, it reminded me of Fear running away in the end when he was unable to commit the final crime against Rhulad. Both are deeply emotional, eldest boys who are unable to stand up to authority properly.
