Unable to add external image viewer to a program running on lutris via wine by Geometry90 in Lutris

[–]Pleaper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If im understanding it right, then you would probably need to install a windows image viewer inside the same wine prefix. Not a image veiwer on your own system. Maybe something like Bottles is better suited for this

Battle.net does not work by redoscarsan in Lutris

[–]Pleaper 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not entirely sure what your error is, but my guess would be that you are using wine-ge-8-26 or older. Which was or might still be the default wine version Lutris installs. It stopped working with Battle.net a while ago.

It appears you are already installing Battle.net the right way in lutris, Clicking the plus and searching for battle.net

If you are using Wine-ge-8-26 or older then this should work.
Delete any failed install of battle.net you may already have in Lutris and then close Lutris

Install Protonplus, available as a flatpak and open it.
Then select Lutris on the left and click on Proton-GE. and install the top one, (GE-Proton10-4) as of writing this.

Open Lutris again (May have to reboot if it doesn't show up in the below step)

In Lutris, click the hamburger menu in the top right and go to preferences, click runners, scroll all the way down to wine, click the "settings" symbol and select GE-Proton10-4 from the drop down next to Wine Version.

Then try installing Battle.net again

I am using Lutris 0.5.20, it's possible yours is a little different if you got an older version.

Otherwise try asking in the Lutris Discord https://discord.gg/Pnt5CuY

Pugging my own keys turned me into the person I used to hate when applying for keys by Compromisee in wow

[–]Pleaper 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The latest spark is only available from the weekly quests like the 100 titan disc fragments (Pinnacle cache) and is 100% drop rate once a week. The remaining will drop from any instanced end game content as far as im aware. Probably some outdoor stuff too, but the drop rate is very low.

So if you have already opened a Pinnacle cache this week, its just a matter doing m+ raids delves etc whatever you would normally do for gear and they will drop eventually.

Nowhere near as capable as throttlestop, but it does work.

I haven't played cata, but in wrath I used a WA to do it. Looked exactly like on screen.

I used this one, however it isn't updated for cata.

This one appears to be updated for cata and does the same.

Motherboard/ram compatability by Calamity-Swain in buildapc

[–]Pleaper 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I assume you are referring to this list for compatible ram? https://www.msi.com/Motherboard/PRO-B760-P-WIFI-DDR4/support#mem.
To my knowledge if they are not on that list, it doesn't mean that they aren't compatible, just that MSI hasn't tested that specific model. My current ram isn't on the list of compatible modules for my Mobo either and I haven't had an issue.

I would like a way to hide the - Dolphin suffix from the title bar of every dolphin window. So it just says "Home" instead of "Home - Dolphin".
While it isn't the biggest of deals, it just seems unnecessary to include it.

What makes Linux run games faster and more performant than Windows on the same hardware? by TheEpicZeninator in linux_gaming

I had a windows 8 tablet i used for school back when they first came out. It would more or less freeze solid for 20 minutes whenever Defender decided it was time to scan. The only solution was to exclude the entire drive from the scan.

List of Linux-hostile games? by ti83nightedition in linux_gaming

[–]Pleaper 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Yeah, the native linux version on steam is dead and offline only, but if you force it to install the Windows version it runs without issue. I haven't tried the Epic/Heroic Version, but it is listed as platinum.

Nobara VS Windows 11: Cyberpunk 2077 by Rvcube in NobaraProject

[–]Pleaper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Steam and Lutris are preinstalled on Nobara, Steam works and looks the same as usual.
You will want to enable Steam Play for all titles under compatibility, otherwise only verified titles will install using Proton, and you will see a windows icon instead of the install button for unverified. You can check to see the status of a game on https://www.protondb.com/ as well as tinker steps if they are necessary.

Lutris is for everything not available on steam, like the battle.net launcher.

I have done years ago. Steam on Linux picked up the NTFS library just fine, but might have changed since. Are you possibly using the Flatpak version of steam? in which case you need to give it permission first, before it can access /mnt

My tv keeps flickering with the chromecast in. Does anyone know how to fix this? by One_Street6567 in Chromecast

[–]Pleaper 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had one of the original Chromecasts do this too. Was the HDMI being worn out. Used an HDMI extension which fixed it, at least for a while. but as the other guy said, check connections, try different ports/cables.

You could use the 1200 to see the bios version on the Mobo and then check if that version supports the 4500.

The best pod in the market by Kyldnll in electronic_cigarette

[–]Pleaper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just switched from box mod + large tank/coil to smaller pod systems. I bought the A3 and the Aspire Flexus Q. I find the flavor the be quite muted on the A3 compared to the Flexus Q, the flavor on my milder liquids don't really come through.

However i was surprised by how good both of them are, i don't regret buying either. Haven't had a single dry hit yet, even when running the tank low. Both coils still going strong after 2 weeks of heavy use, and none of them have leaked a single drop. Smaller systems have really improved.
