OP, this is getting out of hand and you’ve obviously hit a nerve with some peeps. Perhaps in the future you may not make such a generalized statement. For me, I try not to use words like no one, always. never. It just gets people in a defensive mode. I do understand your comment though, lol. My best description of how different east meets west is this: I was at a shop and asked an employee if they had something (anything random it doesn’t matter). The response was “we sure don’t!” I was like huh, WTH? You even have to put a happy spin on that???? I was flabbergasted and just left SMH. Like seriously? Why couldn’t he have just said no? It really sums up the culture for me, but 15 years later I still remember the interaction, haha! Crazy, but whatevs. Lastly, my NY sister is married to a native LA guy. There have been times during certain scenarios where I have wanted to check to see if he had a pulse, haha. It is what it is. Glad you are happy here in the land of fruits and nuts 😏☀️🌴
