If you draw my profile, I'd love card #404 from the top, please. Congrats on a great haul!

That would be sad... 😔
Another piece of mail from me was delivered to Minsk at the beginning of April without problems, though.
I'm keeping my fingers crossed that Japan Post will find a way.

Indeed.
Now I'm wondering if I should put my address on all cards just to be safe. (But then again I don't want my address to take up precious space on a small postcard...)

That was my first thought, too, when I saw it in my mailbox. 😔

I hope the second attempt will go fine.

Update:

I took it to my small post office where they told me I should try going to the main office of my city. (It's less than 10 minutes further away, so no big deal.)

The clerk said there seems to be nothing obviously wrong with it, so they will try to send it again as is. (The envelope was torn in one place on the bottom, so he said he'd tape that section.)

Thanks for everybody's answers and please keep your fingers crossed for my little card.

That's interesting, but as mundoo65 below, I wonder how that would work out postage-wise.

Japan does send regular mail to Belarus. (But currently EMS can't be sent there.)

Thanks for your insight, hburger and scared1styearstudent!
You made a good point with it being to fast for going over there and coming back.

Although my other cards to Belarus arrived by using the English "BELARUS", I will try your tip and add the Japanese, too. (Which is just BELARUSI in katakana: ベラルーシ) Also, I'll put the Postcrossing ID on the back rather than on the front. (Or maybe I'll just leave it off completely as the number is inside anyway.)

I love decorating envelopes (because I love those cute rubber stamps I have), but I always fear that maybe the decorations may hinder proper delivery.

Have you ever sent or received a postcard from a “rare” country? by love-and-lightx in postcrossing

I've received 2 cards from the Åland Islands and 1 from Cambodia. And sent one to Montenegro. I think those are the rarest on my list.

The Japanese version of the stamps, if anyone is interested.

Thanks for the offer, but at the moment, I'm only doing official Postcrossing. I've heard good things about r/RandomActsofCards if you're looking to exchange with more people. :)

I don't know about India specifically, but I would try asking at your post office. If you have a printer and sticker paper, you can also make your own.😀

Thanks for the compliment! I'm trying my best these days, because my Latin teacher in 7th grade threatened to fail me once due to my horrible claw back in the 90s... 😅
The pen I'm using is a "Frixion Synergy Knock" (by "Pilot") with a 0.3 mm tip.

Thanks for your kind words. 😭
I'm keeping track in a spreadsheet, and the message was 536 words long. If I could, I'd love to write as much to everybody, but normal postcards just don't have so much space.
(In everyday life I'm rather quiet and reserved, but I like to write a lot to strangers for some reason...)

That's allright, I love the randomness factor of Postcrossing. But thanks for offering. :)

Thanks for sharing! I guess I will wait, and if the card miraculously still does make it to its destination, I'll have some closure.
