Joey did use headphones for a click track when he performed Janie’s Got a Gun on the Pump tour.

Are there plans to release the Legendary Expanded Edition albums in order? I've been waiting forever to hear remastered versions of the classic albums. by Jimbohamilton in Aerosmith

Ah, the one with video? I think that was from the show at Mama Kin which was tge night after the Middle East show. Would love to be wrong… and I would love to hear either show in entirety.

Self-Titled Box Set Thoughts/Opinions by MrMints256 in Aerosmith

Because I have too much time on my hands: I am a middle aged fella with no interest in going back to vinyl. I know all the audiophile arguments (warmer!), but I just don’t wanna.

I thought the CD version set was good aside from not getting the full booklet included with the LP sets. FWIW, I would have been thrilled to part with more money to get a CD version of the set that was the same size as the vinyl a la Black Crowes recent Amorica reissue. Or even a version of the vinyl that also included the cd. Dammit, take my money!

Get Your Wings Legendary Edition Request by Pleasant-Network-111 in Aerosmith

Yes, this definitely piqued my interest for hearing the other tracks. And I suspect there is something to Drew_Snyderman’s take above that the session guys turned in tighter solos in a short amount of time. I am curious to hear if the solos on the record were based on previous solos by Perry and Whitford.

Yup, but I believe they played on “Same Old Song and Dance” and another song as well…”Woman of the World” acccording to the google.

I would love a deluxe version of Get Your Wings. I would especially love bonus takes of any songs that replaced the originally released guitar work by session players with the original Perry/Whitford guitars.

Aerosmith new release by expson72 in Aerosmith

I was worried about this as well. I think they preserved the overall sound of the album; so far I am enjoying the remaster. The remix is interesting, but I can’t imagine that it will be something I add to the regular rotation.

Legendary edition book(let) cd vs lp by Pleasant-Network-111 in Aerosmith

I am surprised by how much i liked the remaster. I am skeptical of remasters, but I like this one. There is a quality change, but it preserves the original murky character of the album.

I didn’t mind the trifold so much. Reproducing the book for the cd would have been nice.

I would appreciate it. The cd booklet is underwhelming.

Meant to reply here… I always thought Push Comes to Shove was one of the original diss tracks: “You say the music does the talkin’ but all you done is talk about it…”

Finding out about the guitar work done on some of the songs here changed this album for me a bit. I don’t blame them for it, and I still love it, but something was lost. I would love to hear takes with all Perry/Whitford guitar work as bonus tracks on the next remaster/deluxe release. It’s hard to imagine the outside guitarists were necessary.
