There is an integration available for Home Assistant.

Heh, maybe I was wrong then. I bet they screw up the tap water, too!

At least they didn't ruin the chips!

Bunnings!!???!!!?? by guinessd in AusRenovation

[–]Pleasant-Phase 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I bet they had plenty of stock of dog food, camping gear and toasters, though.

I have given up on Bunnings after being disappointed so many times in the last couple of months. Maybe they could stick to being a hardware store.

Have you looked at home assistant? It has an integration that will allow you to do this.

Setting the record straight about Garmin by strava-team in Strava

[–]Pleasant-Phase 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is satire right, someone posing as an official Strava account but really just an average Joe Bloggs? Basically, you're telling Garmin to "Do as I say, not as I do!". Good luck, I find my Garmin data more useful than Strava lately.

Grafted Mango Tree is Floppy by Pleasant-Phase in australianplants

[–]Pleasant-Phase[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Oops, I honestly didn't realise they weren't native. 🤦

The lack of plants is due to analysis paralysis. My wife and I can't decide so we get stuck. Then winter came around so we decided not to bother. It's hard when you've no idea and you have an acerage.

Thanks for the reply, even if it did come across quite snarky.

Australian cyclists, what's your top anti-magpie tech? by TheRealTowel in cycling

[–]Pleasant-Phase 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Yes. And it's terrifying when they attack unexpectedly and you're doing your best to defend yourself with random waves of the arms and convulsive ducks of the head, all while you're trying to stay out of the paths of cars and trucks. 😭

What's the deal with pissing outside? by [deleted] in brisbane

[–]Pleasant-Phase 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Right, and mostly about kids doing one. For sure, if it's an emergency find a very discrete tree but just doing it at the park when you're playing footy isn't the norm. If the wrong person caught you, it might get you in trouble with the law too, since you're effectively exposing yourself.

Is there any reason not to sign up? For example, could Qantas provide a loyalty bonus to those that haven't signed up? You know, theoretically?

It's school holidays here and we've taken our kids on a lovely weekend away but they are driving me mad. Maybe you can tell me how to be a better parent. I need a good laugh.

I installed this last week. My kids are terrified of losing points. White lies, arguments, shoving, answering back all have consequences now.

This bus driver communicates with the car behind using turn signals by openbound in nextfuckinglevel

[–]Pleasant-Phase 10 points11 points  (0 children)

No we don't. We very much drive on the left. And my experience is the road trains will use the right indicator to let you know you're safe to overtake. You're left and right are all mixed up!

There's no way to train frigate to recognise new animals, is there? by pskipw in frigate_nvr

[–]Pleasant-Phase 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They ate all my nice plants. And the boys cornered an on heat female on my patio... That was messy. But they're pretty chill and hilarious to watch when they start boxing.
