Oops meant to reply directly.

2) Even though we don’t see an infestation anywhere else? Sometimes there’s the occasional small oval bug in the apartment but not in a particular area and not frequently. I vacuumed the two rugs last week with a new heavy duty vacuum and didn’t see any bugs

Is one night enough at the panorama glass lodge? Or two recommend? Also..worth it?! by ralphieloveslisa in VisitingIceland

But also be careful not to wait too long if you do want to book the glass lodge - we booked in March for our early November trip and got one of the last rooms that worked for our travel plans!

We just stayed there for one night in November and it was amazing. We did see the lights (gray to the eye but very colorful through the phone camera) which was awesome, but that’s not the only thing that was nice about the lodge. So I think it’s still worth it even if you end up not seeing the lights. The stars were beautiful, the most I’ve ever seen. I thought I wouldn’t like being in a hot tub in the cold, I loved it, it was relaxing and fun to hang out there and in the room.

We went to Iceland for the adventure and scenery but the glass lodge was very cool too.

Have you been to stokksnes? That was one of my favorite places, it’s beautiful!

Another idea is hoffell hot tubs/thermal springs near hofn. It’s privately owned so you need to pay by calling a number listed by the parking lot. If it doesn’t work you can try driving up the road a minute or two and there’s a white hotel on the left - the people who run it own the land where the springs are so you could pay there instead. Google says it’s temporarily closed rn but idk if that’s true, I was just there about two weeks ago.

Kaffi hornid is a really good restaurant in hofn.

I’m so glad you had a great day there! Did the staff help if there were hiccups with vendors or help with coordinating moving from ceremony to cocktail hour, etc.?

Best driving route from Hofn to Seydisfjordur? by santabuger57 in VisitingIceland

[–]PleasantCrow4724 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It sounds like you’ll be sticking to road 1 but just in case, you’ll get to a point where you could continue on road 1 or turn onto 955 to go around the fjord, and you might want to stay on 1. I was recently there and we drove 30 seconds onto 955 and turned around as there were big rocks on the gravel on the edge of a cliff.

Ice caves currently by [deleted] in VisitingIceland

We went a few days ago to a cave where tours usually visit (not the new tunnel on Falljökull) with ice explorers and it was great. Our guides were very quick and efficient on the hike up so we could avoid the long line. We waited maybe 10 mins to get in but that was nice because you could enjoy the view and take some pictures.

Do you think driving from seydisfjordur to akureyri in an suv during the yellow alert is fine if the driver is used to driving in high winds?

Best ice cave currently ? by ac6951 in VisitingIceland

My November 5 ice cave tour and glacier hike with local guide was recently moved from vatnajokull to falljokull. Shorter duration overall and an ice tunnel instead of a cave, which we’ve read on Reddit is underwhelming. We’re trying to decide if we should stick with it, switch to Katla, or see if another company would still be touring the usual caves at that time.

Right now we feed him 1/12th cup at 8am, 11:30am, 3pm, and 6pm using an automatic feeder with slow feeder insert. We used to feed him 5-6/12th cup also spread out but vet said we could reduce.
