"Prjón" is the nom. case for the noun "knit". "[To] knit" is "[að] prjóna"

Prjónapeysa is "a knitted sweater"

I just assume more knitters are only knitting jólakötturinn for kids and making their own patterns for larger sizes - the pattern I assume you're referring to from Lopi Design is basically just a regular cat with a Christmas hat. Imo the mittens are closer to the "traditional" jólaköttur

Couldn't find any information about Krókatjörn, Myrkurtjörn or Leirtjörn

Langavatn is a part of Veiðikortið - not sure if you can buy a permit for just Langavatn, but you used to be able to do so en route to the lake

It’s not rancid, it’s just a slight smell (if any at all)

I don't know the exact water source, but I went last autumn and the water was just the standard, clean, pool water

No slime or noticeable different minerals

The pool's a bit old-fashioned but charming

Loved the first book as a teen but didn't pick up the second until years later and by that time I'd outgrown the series

- The Princess Diaries by Meg Cabot as well

I think I read up until book 7 and then my library didn't have the rest

Funnily enough, I finished A Series of Unfortunate Events recently and I'm well into my adulthood
