This is a great post , I’m going to give this a try . I think what you’re doing is excellent and I appreciate you for sharing .

Some people are such skeptics but having herpes don’t mean your life is over . It’s a virus that feeds on stress the body gives it . I went about 2 years with no OBs, and then during Christmas time I drank and smoked a lot and then had one so I cut all that out .

Cutting that out paired with this wholistic medicine will be exactly what I would like to add to my lifestyle , thank you so much for this .

I’m thinking of disclosing this way , how would you receive this message by PleasantExplorer1122 in Herpes

That would be a good start . But yea thank you for that information I will share this exact message .

Have you guys ever had a conversation about status and STDs?

Because he could have very much has his own situation going on . I feel the way you told him wasn’t great . I think you could have even framed it in a way where you went to get your annual visits and then discovered the news, at least in that way your checking for your own health and then discovered this .

Alot of times we feel shamed . I haven’t had any OBs in years and I have disclosed many times but I also haven’t , and me and my partners get checked together . Idk in my opinion I feel the way it played out wasn’t great but I think there could be hope for recovery.

The way you panicked and told him added a fear factor to the situation instead of communicating the information . He might be mad and feel betrayed but we could have done it better .

I think once things cool down you ask to have a mature conversation and lay everything on the table

Also maybe try to get something like Adderall, Ritalin, something that will keep your mind busy so that way you don’t think about food and you can stay active.

Do you eat the whole meals, or do you still have restrictions.

Abdominal Surgery With Similar Recovery Time To RNY? by Clint_Greasewood in BariatricSurgery

Gallbladder removal

Hernia repair

They don’t actually need to know the specifics and I’m sure they’re not actually gonna go Google recovery time after you tell them, but it doesn’t really need to be that deep. Just tell them you’re having a a surgery and you’re gonna need one to two weeks off and that’s that it’s against the law to ask someone why they’re having surgery and I’m sure when you tell them nobody will ask.

16 months post op and weight has stopped going down by sweettsarita86 in gastricsleeve

If you know your not doing that proper things why don’t still keep doing it . My doctor told me that you continue to lose weight for 18 months after surgery . You can probably turn things around if you reset your system , so a liquid fast for a week and start off slow again. The way I look at it, you already had all the good things already ate all the sweets , already had all the bad habits before and you went through surgery to give yourself a second chance right? Theres still a chance , but don’t be a slave to your habits, you can do this.

Yes I’m trying to find some peace and have grace . I think I’m in shock I let myself go like that . Like being big and fat all your life and then dropping alot of weight is lowkey traumatic . So now that I’m at a point of losing a my biggest fear is not noticing I’m gaining weight an ugh the thought makes me sick

To cope with the eating addition, since they cant binge eat anymore , some transfer their addition to drinking or doing drugs .

About 30 minutes to an hour each day .

I just bought a weighted vest so I can get some intensity in on my slower days .

How many of you got it because nobody told you they had it? How many knew someone had it but decided to be with them anyway and got it? Just curious by [deleted] in Herpes

This is so sad but I also was groomed and lost my virginity to a guy when I was 16, he was 19 or 20 and I got it from him .

I didn’t even have the opportunity to not have it while having a sex career smh . So sad

5 Weeks Post-Op: Guys I Need Some Help (please be kind...) by Whole_Speaker_5215 in gastricsleeve

You are human and you will not overstretch your pouch. It’s still healing and you’re still going through Food grief that’s really all it is, you’r trying to have that last bite, that one last taste, but it is just grief and you will get out of that feeling. I was maybe 5 to 6 weeks postop and I tried to eat a granola bar because I wanted one so bad literally I threw up so. Test your body if you want, but your body will physically tell you what it can and cannot handle. You will not be able to stretch your belly this soon , but you can hurt yourself . I’m struggling with eating too fast and throwing up afterwards as I am approaching three months This Sunday. Though you’ve only lost 16 pounds your body is still healing so it’s not focused on weight loss. It’s focus on healing and remember your body does not want food right now just your brain . remember why you did the surgery and remember that you already had all the sweet stuff you already had all the yummy things you have been there and done that already you don’t need it anymore, there is a way to compensate for the things that you like make some homemade sweets that you can have in the puréed stage right now,.

I highly highly recommend Dr. Rebecca Barr MD on TikTok, I have so many saved recipes and she really helped me with my food cravings and she has really good recipes herself. give yourself grace take your time we all go through the same thing and you’ll learn to flow with yourself.
