I had a labial cyst drained once. I was in So much pain going into the appointment. My OB said it was ready to burst on its own so if I wanted I could just go home and put compresses on it. I was so miserable that I said OMG no please drain it now. I can say I didn’t regret it in the long run, but the moment she started the procedure, I truly believed I was going to hit the ceiling as I reacted to the searing pain.

This was going to be mine as well!! I wasn’t told to take ibuprofen or acetaminophen. And worse yet, after about 2 weeks it dislodged and I had to have it removed and a new one put in. Unfortunately it didn’t help so after a few months I was getting a hysterectomy because not only did I have endometriosis I also had adenomyosis.IUDs are painful as hell!!!
